You actually would like to see state run oil??? Government wants to control you and run every aspect of your life and you are bending over for more tyranny??? No thanks!!!Originally posted by balljoint View PostI understand what you are saying.
However it is does stand true in a competitive free market without monopolies or collusion between competitors.....which is exactly what the oil market DOESN'T have.
To drop prices we need:
1) no overseas shipping of refined oil.
2) a product with a shelflife
3) less goverment regulation to open up market for more competitors. And not more guys who are 'buddies' More true competitors.
It doesnt help either that this is a now a GLOBAL market. So even if we use less domestically, that wont change the global demand.
I would like a state run oil and see how it works out.

Whether it is run by my state or by Exxon, I would still be getting #%$%^%&. Only difference is maybe, just maybe, the state profits could be used for something good, like paying off STATE debt.
Again, I live in a good state. Sorry if you dont.
take it easy.
