David Pearson said it best. David doesnt like to say anything negative about anybody. They asked him " David, what do you think about Danica?" David said " Who" They said" Danica Patrick " David Said " You mean that girl. She's purdy" They said " David what do you think about her as a race car driver?" David said " she's purdy" I say it is old timers like Pearson who made nascar popular, and there isnt any like him anymore. That is the reason for the decline in Nascar's popularity.The racing wasnt that close or that good in the old days, sometimes guys would win by 10 or 12 laps, but the personalities was the reason we watched them.Comment

I was thinking the same thing Mud.
I'm not a Danica Patrick fan at all but I don't hate her either.
Not sure Ms. Patrick could have prevented a right front tire from blowing out. Experience might help a driver better anticipate when it's gonna' happen, though.
I once watched ironhead blow a right front at Michigan and he hit so hard he needed two guys to carry him to the ambulance and he was alleged to be a real tough guy. He'd had plenty of experience when it happened, too.
Make light of her screwing up when she actually does. The deal at Phoenix was not one of those times.
In regards to Tim McCreadie, he didn't make the most of his opportunity. Unfortunate, but true.Comment
