As long as Knaus stay's with him, He be a contender. They make the best team (Driver/Crewchief) ever. Stats dont lie. Plus the competition is much better in todays Nascar. Does mean racing is better, but there are 15-20 teams that could win on anygiven sunday.Comment

Racer111. It does not matter with old point system. 48 team has adapted to the many changes in the 5 yrs he has won it. Different car, Spoiler, Wing, changes to chase. The team adapts to changes. He may not win his 6th this year, but as long Knaus stays with him he will win a couple more. I predict over 7 or more.Comment

It's posted on Jayski's that if the new points system had been in place last year, JJ would have still won the championship. Fourth thru 6th would swap around a bit but not much change overall.
If you think that JJ's team can only points race, I'll bet they show you that they can adapt to just about any scenerio Nascar comes up with...much to my dismay.Comment
