How about a new forum feature

that would make invisible all of the posts and threads started by someone on our ignore list? How about revamping that so nothing they post or start even shows up on your screen? Right now "ignore" just makes the content of their post invisible, why not expand that so they disappear completely from your screen? Then you wouldn't need to moderate or do anything, we could all just pick and choose who we let show up on our screens when we click on the forum. I would definitely remove all the spammers on their first thread.
