    Real Casualties of ObamaCare......

What about these people. What if this was you ?

    IBM
Earlier this month, the computer giant, once famed for its paternalism, announced it would remove 110,000 of its Medicare-eligible retirees from the company’s health insurance and give them subsidies to purchase coverage through the Obamacare exchanges. Retirees fear that they will not get the level of coverage they are used to, and that the options will be bewildering.

    Delta Air Lines
In a letter to employees, Delta Air Lines revealed that the company’s health-care costs will rise about $100 million next year alone, in large part because of Obamacare. The airline said that in addition to several other changes, it would have to drop its specially crafted insurance plans for pilots because the “Cadillac tax” on luxurious health plans has made them too expensive.

    UPS
Fifteen thousand employees’ spouses will no longer be able to use UPS’s health-care plan because they have access to coverage elsewhere. The “costs associated with the Affordable Care Act have made it increasingly difficult to continue providing the same level of health care benefits to our employees at an affordable cost,” the delivery giant said in a company memo. The move is expected to save the company $60 million next year.

    Caterpillar Inc.
In the law’s first year, the machinery manufacturer estimated before its passage, Obamacare would add more than $100 million in health-care costs. “We can ill afford cost increases that place us at a disadvantage versus our global competitors,” a Caterpillar executive wrote lawmakers, saying that the law would not meet the goal of providing good, inexpensive health care for all Americans.

    SeaWorld
SeaWorld used to let part-time employees work up to 32 hours per week, but the company is dropping the limit to 28 hours to keep them under the 30-hour threshold at which it would be required to provide health insurance under Obamacare. More than 80 percent of the company’s thousands of employees are part-time and/or seasonal.

    Stryker Corp.
Stryker Corp., a Michigan medical-device manufacturer, laid off about 1,000 employees earlier this year due to the Affordable Care Act’s 2.3 percent excise tax on medical devices. The company estimated that the tax would cost it approximately $100 million next year. “Stryker remains significantly concerned with the upcoming medical device excise tax and its negative impact on jobs and innovation and will continue to work with Congress to try to repeal the tax,” said the company’s CEO.

Here is what I don't understand, lets take Cat for example. You posted it would cost CAT an extra 100 million a year but, yet their profit for the first quarter of 2013 was 880 million dollars. Now remember that's just the 1st quarter. Now what's wrong with this picture. Read the whole article and you tell me they can't afford it.

So my #'s are wrong and your's are right again ? Seems to be a trend with you ! LoL
Ok, let's assume you're correct. Caterpillar should be OK with a law that costs them $100 million a year(or whatever $ figure "You" wish to use here) just because they are running a profitable company ?
Why do Liberals Hate and Fear successful people and/or businesses ?

Well first off they are not my numbers. Like I said if your numbers are correct with the 634 million I will admit I was wrong and what BS that would be.

Not sure what you mean by liberals hate or fear successful people or business. Do you realize there are a lot of liberals that are Rich so, that makes no sense to me.

What liberals do like to see is that these companies take care of those employees that have made them so successful.

To me, the point is the government should not be forcing a company to spend 100 million dollars on anything, its a private company, if they wish to offer health care fine, if they don't thats fine too, again, its a private company.

You know what Mud you are right. It's damm shame a company that big with profits that large could not themselves help provide heath insurance for their workers. I'm not saying for free but at least help them with the cost.

AS far as IBM and the retirees companies were already starting to do that because the cost of healthcare was getting so expensive and that was before the ACA passed.

                          Welch Allyn
The manufacturer announced that it will have to cut approximately 10 percent of its 2,750 employees, 275 in all, because of the medical-device tax.

Since you are directly competing in the labor market with 3rd world countries, this is a great opportunity for the businesses mentioned here and many more to take away employer supplied health insurance. Corporations owe nothing to anyone but their stockholders.

I never thought health care tied to work was a smart idea in the first place. You get sick and can't work, you then lose your health care, seems like a stupid idea. Some getting health care insurance and others not due to business policy, doesn't sound like a good idea either. The ones that get it don't have to pay tax on it and it is part of your pay package. The ones that pay for their own, paid tax on the income they use to buy their insurance. Why should a corporation be able to get a better group rate than an individual?

It does not surprise me that Cat would say they owe this country nothing. They have been steadily moving their manufacturing to other countries for the last two decades. They not only don't owe their employees insurance, they don't even owe them a job. they don't owe this country taxes or anything else. They just come here to sell their product and make a profit. Now, what do we owe them?

                              Cleveland Clinic, Ohio
One of the world’s best-known hospitals announced in September that it would slash jobs and up to 6 percent of its annual $6 billion budget in anticipation of costs associated with Obamacare’s implementation. A spokeswoman for the clinic announced that approximately $330 million would be cut, but she did not say how many of the 44,000 employees the clinic would let go. The Cleveland Clinic is Cleveland’s largest employer and the second-largest employer in Ohio.
