This from Mud. Again, no contrary argument presented but another attack on the sensibility and intelligence of the people they disagree with.

But, Mudeater, where's your ideas, what do you think about the IDEA presented?

We all know that personal insults are your go-to response, we know you always attack the poster when you disagree, but what we want to see is YOUR reasoned response to the argument presented, not another round of insults toward the person.

The trouble is, that it actually becomes the nations problem also, when citizens choose foolishly what to believe and what not to believe.
This is about as close to an "argument" against the idea presented as we will see.

Of course, the first sentence claims "honest educated opinions and websites that are informative and spot on."

Ok. I will give you honest. Educated? Not so much. Websites that are informative? Well, granted, there is what can be called "information" on those websites, but you really stretch it when you say "spot on."

The problem is I research who runs websites, who they get their funding from and you consistently post links to known right wing agitator websites known for right wing propaganda and their intent to deceive and misinform the public. A great deal of what you think is true is carefully crafted misinformation using a few facts and a lot of conservative spin.

My opinion of your sources, based on research and analyses, is where you mostly get your news from is definitely biased and certainly not without a right wing agenda. Basically, those sites are serving people like you with stories and "news" that just reinforces your existing world view.

For more, do some research on "world view," so you understand the concept of a person's world view, how it is formed, how it influences what you will accept as truth, and then go do some digging into a Ted Talk that was given that reported how the web and search engines now use your past searches and favorite websites you frequent to consistently provide you with content you will find agreeable.

That's right. If I type in "deficit reduction" in my Google search bar, I will get a completely different set of results than if you type it in yours. Why? Because I go to multiple different types of media sites frequently, and my search results are tailored based on what I have clicked on in the past. Yours the same. So if you only go to right wing propaganda sites, then all you are going to get when you search GOOGLE is a list of right wing propaganda sites all telling you the same thing.

Convincing you yours is the popular view nationally or globally, when all your searches are doing is telling you what you want to hear, which coincides with your existing world view. The only way to get multiple perspectives is to trick the machine by going to all kinds of sites, both right, left and middle frequently. That way, when you search a subject, you get all kinds of different perspectives, not just a narrowed selection based on your personal preference.

Yes, GOOGLE has been tailored to tell you what you want to hear, not what is most popular nationally or globally or even anything that might be offensive to you. That is a dangerous place to be, I think, only being told what you want to hear.

No, I am just asking you to tell us what you think, not some website you can link to that gives you your opinion.

Yes I rip on you right back. But it's way different when that's ALL you do. And quite frankly, some other people and myself on here have written volumes of our own conclusions and opinions with sources to back things up while you and your buddies just toss personal insults back with NOTHING else to offer.

Start by showing some ability to form an opinion and post it without trashing another poster. You guys shouldn't complain about being called halfwits and morons when you do nothing but bash other people and say little else.

They are just propagandists pushing their agenda. It's actually worse than hogwash.

Now see, This doesn't convince you that I have a point.I see your point perfectly, you think that putting down the people presenting counts as a good argument against what they are saying. Trouble is, that crap is called Abusive Ad Hominem in debate and when you do it, you lose. In debate as soon as you start insulting the person you are debating instead of attacking their points or argument, you concede you have no way to rebut them and you lose the debate. But since they have this educated rhetoric that sounds more valid then you think it's a good read or watch? LOLOLOLOL

                It's total crap.
Ok, but what do YOU think of what HE SAID, not what do you think of HIM.

That is the point. You NEVER offer up a well thought out response refuting the argument, you just trash the person making the argument. It's really bad form in debate to attack the person and not their argument. In any debate, as soon as you do that, YOU LOSE.

Just calling him names doesn't mean what he says is hogwash. Logic should tell you that even people you personally dislike are right some of the time, so you have to do a little better than this "oh, he's a leftie liberal idiot so he's wrong."

Come on. Let's hear YOUR argument that Capitalism is wonderful and still working very well to counter his claim that it's had it's day and now only benefits a few.

In the most influential of all economic theories on socialist thought, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels argued that socialism would emerge from historical necessity as capitalism rendered itself obsolete and unsustainable from increasing internal contradictions emerging from the development of the productive forces and technology. It was these advances in the productive forces combined with the old social relations of production of capitalism that would generate contradictions, leading to working-class consciousness.[55]Marx and Engels held the view that the consciousness of those who earn a wage or salary (the working class in the broadest Marxist sense) would be moulded by their conditions of wage slavery, leading to a tendency to seek their freedom or emancipation by overthrowing ownership of the means of production by capitalists, and consequently, overthrowing the state that upheld this economic order. For Marx and Engels, conditions determine consciousness and ending the role of the capitalist class leads eventually to a classless society in which the state would wither away.not oboslote yet but there are dead

Once again, I could give two craps about Richard Wolff, his world view, his politics, what the right wing hate machine thinks of him, none of it.

The guy put forth his claim that Capitalism served us well for many years but has run its course and we now need to alter our philosophy to better serve society.

That's all he said. Now, what do you think of what HE SAID, not what you think of HIM.

You right wingers get so caught up judging the person making the statement you never hear what they are saying.

I don't dislike Sara Palin because she is conservative, I dislike her because her response to being asked her experience in Foreign Relations amounted to "I can see Russia from my window." She claimed she was well read and when asked what types of literature she read to get her information, she couldn't name anything in particular, she bumbled around for an answer. When asked her opinion on Supreme Court decisions, she claimed she disagreed with some and agreed with others. When pressed to give an example of an opinion she disagreed with, she couldn't answer the question, she didn't know.

Now, when I put these things together (notice I said when I put these things together, no link to some loonie left tree hugging liberal site telling me how THEY put it together) I see someone who was ill prepared and ill equipped intellectually to be the VP of the USA. She tried to pass herself off as someone intelligent with a knowledge of the world necessary to be the VP, but the reality was she was exposed for being ill informed and not very knowledgeable at all on what she claimed.

See how this works? I can tell you why I dislike someone and cite specific examples and tell you why I disagree with their political position. I don't just resort to name calling with nothing to back it up.

Funny thing about that clip is it got me to thinking where we are now and how you can see some of what he is saying actually playing itself out in our economy every day.

We don't have a wealth problem in America, we have a direction of cash flow problem. There's plenty of money in America to pay for schools, roads, everything. Our problem is our economic system is completely geared to one segment of society that gets every gain while every other part of our nation gets little to nothing.

Stimulus money? Goes straight to the wealthy. Unemployment checks extended? All the money generated when that money is spent goes straight to the wealthy. Give middle America a tax cut? Middle America spends it, it goes straight to the wealthy and stays there. Bail out a bank? They keep the money.

Our wealth elites are the benefactors of every single program designed to help middle America, because our system is set up so that once money goes to corporate America after middle America spends it, we never see it again. It's gone. It doesn't get spent, it doesn't get invested, it just goes to the private wealth of a few.

Judging his view as presented as a "fair view" or "unfair view" is irrelevant. If its wrong, then give us a good solid explanation as to why his view is wrong.

Like I said before, pure logic tells you that even people you dislike and disagree with cannot be wrong on everything, all the time.

What I said was, "The clip you posted here is a prime example of crony capitalism. The government took your labor in the form of money and gave it to a corporation. GM is Capitalist, Profit at any cost. You don't have to have a D or R by your name to be a Capitalist or Socialist Go back and watch the clip for what it says, not for what you think it's going to say."

The bailout of GM was not in the best interest of the people of this country. If a republican initiated this bail out, it would not be in the best interest of the people. It was in the best interest of GM corp. They took that money and built a plant in China and we lost more jobs and even paid them to do it.

This isn't about republicans or democrats, this is about the people of this country getting bent over by corporate America and wall street bankers. Do you really read and comprehend anything? Are you afraid to look at the south side of a video?

For some reason, I see a trend that so called conservatives believe all Capitalism is good and all Socialism is bad. Therefore if you put down any form of Capitalism, you must be a Liberal. If you are in favor of any type of Socialism, you must be a liberal.

What do you think of this Capitalism? Warning, this was produced by a capitalist gold and silver selling enterprise and I would not advise the buying or selling of gold or silver in one form or another based on this video. It does how ever explain how Unbridled Capitalist fleece you for your money.
