Saw a picture of a bunch of late models on it years ago and it looked like it was a perfect big circle for a track. What track is this?? Kansas? Iowa? Looks like Midwest dirt.
What's the dirt track that is a perfect circle?

I would call it a small 3/8. It is about 1845 ft. around on the very outside.Originally posted by mopar92 View PostWhat is kamp?Last edited by Clayton_Wetter; 11-24-2013, 10:11 PM.

The Belleville Highbanks in Kansas is the closest to a perfect circle that I'm aware of. It's sometimes known as Little Langhorne after the circular 1 mile track that used to be just outside of Philadelphia, PA.
We went out to The Highbanks for the Belleville Nationals this past August and it's everything as advertised. It's bigger than a 1/2 mile and just slightly smaller than a 5/8's and it's the fastest dirt track short of a 1 mile dirt track we've ever seen. It seemed a lot faster than Eldora and noticeably bigger.
Talked to Robert Ballou and he said it doesn't matter what type car your driving, you never crack the throttle from wide open and you never touch the brake.
The winged 410 sprint car 1 lap record is 14.258 and the dirt late model record is 16.189 on a track that is several hundred feet longer than Eldora.
It's a place every dirt track fan should see.Last edited by CIRF; 11-25-2013, 11:03 PM.
