    Clippers owner comments......

What am I missing with this "controversy"? I am fully admitting I may not be up to speed on this, so somebody fill me in.

    Here are my thoughts:
The comments were made in private....to his girlfriend. Yes? The jist of which was that he didn't want her posting pictures of her with blacks on her social media. All the "minorities" that were supposedly offended are calling for anything from suspension up to saying he should not be allowed to retain ownership of the team.

    Is this correct, so far?

Yes I believe it was a private conversation between himself and his girlfriend. It was recorded and the what happened next is the public outcry.....

Here is the audio of their discussion......

I guess it just seems a little fishy to me. She obviously set him up and recorded their conversation. Why? She obviously asked leading questions about race. Why?

Is the guy a racist? Could be. He could be the biggest creep in the world. I have no idea. I just don't understand why a PRIVATE conversation is grounds for all the hatred directed at him now.

I'm curious if all his "accusers" would feel it was alright if every private conversation or comment they ever made was somehow made public.

All I heard was a guy who doesn't want his girlfriend publicizing her relationships with black guys on social media. If that is racist, then I suppose he is racist. The fact still remains, it was a private conversation.

I think the biggest "sleaze" is actually the girlfriend who recorded the private conversation and then made it public.

The woman is most likely no better a person than he is, possibly worse. I believe it's all about political agendas. If this man loses his team over this it should be because people quit going to see the team play and or the players don't want to play there. Not because a bunch of activists try to destroy him for being tricked into making private comments public.

People should be much more worried about losing their freedom of speech and how to feel. These media led distractions are meant to be just that. A distraction to take people's minds off of actual REAL issues and news.

The knit picking is way out of hand.

More than likely it is all about the money.....but releasing it to TMZ would not have helped her big squeeze on him though......unless she received a good chunk of money from TMZ and was satisfied with that.....who knows...I do believe there is a lot more to this.....

Since when is it legal to record a private conversation without both parties knowing that it is being recorded ?(unless you are or work the federal govt of course )

That's not legal, she must have more stuff stashed away to keep him from taking her to court. Just a thought.

They can't really, but they can make it so he can't have any contact with the actual game via the contract he signed initially. But that could be in court forever...the floozy that recorded him and baited him is on thin ice with the rest of the family so I'm guessing that's the reasons for the recordings...I believe she said it was for a book...but not positive about the book part.

But I'm really curious, if this is so offensive to the team why they didn't all just quit .... I guess racism has a price and Sterling didn't quite reach that.....

Their saying after the season is over there is possibly a chance all of the players will go into free agency and could force the team to close up shop. As for now they probably went to far to just quit and walk off even with what's been said.

The guy has been known to make other comments before about minorities that have worked for him. It's nothing new for him.

The NBA can terminate a franchise it takes a 3/4s vote from all the other teams

I'm interested to see if any fans show up tonight at the game, i doubt there will be much of anyone there, which will help out the warriors.

There will be protesters around the staples center, it won't be ur normal NBA game. We will find out today at 2 what's going to be done.

This will give black gangs an excuse to step up their beatings of white citizens on the streets.

As long as there are groups of people out there that claim they want equality yet differentiate themselves into there own club, group,or organization by race.......racism will never go away.

For example.......The united negro college fund, the democratic black caucus , Mrs. Black America, Black entertainment television, Whereblackpeoplemeet.com, blackandmissing.com, blacknews.com, n.a.a.c.p, The black ivy alumni league, blackamericaweb.com, myblackinfo.com , etc., etc. etc. etc.

Insert the word white into any of those spots where you see black or colored in the above groups and all of a sudden it's a racist organization.............how can it work one way and not be racist and not work the other way and be racist????

All I'm saying here is this..............there are ignorant people in this world that think because of ones skin color that we are somehow different as human beings, and that's just what it is ,ignorance......

I'm a white guy that grew up in the south and I'm certain that some of my great aunts , uncles, grandmothers and grandfathers grew up with the notion that people that weren't the same color as them were somehow inferior.......well guess what??? they are now all dead and gone but somehow , someway their are still people out there that want to perpetuate the beliefs of back then and others that want to punish us now for what my ancestors believed in then.............it's ridiculous.

I don't owe anybody a dam thing for what my ancestors believed in, I only owe them the same common courtesy that any decent human being of any color deserves unless and until they give me a reason to treat or think of them differently.........period.

Here is a novel idea........how about the hate mongering NAACP disband and re form themselves as the NAAAP( the national association for the advancement of ALL people)
Nobody is ever going to take anybody seriously about throwing away the race card until somebody starts by getting rid of the race only clubs, shows, colleges, organizations etc.

Ok , I'm off the soap box now............sorry, race to me is a non issue.

Like the man said , it's all about the content of a persons character that matters.
Where is the move over flag when you need it?????
