    last night truck race

I cot the last 25 laps of the truck race last night.I've seen more fans at a girls high school basket ball game. how the he11 do they (nascar)not see they have a huge problem the guy's on fox1 kept patting nascars back for the rule changes in the off season but clearly the fans are the true judges.

I never watch them either. But yes I see those empty grandstand highlights. Wonder if they are discussing ending the truck series?

That's to bad too because the truck races are usually pretty decent races.

It isn't just the trucks or the Nationwide. The Cup race was at least 2/3rds empty, too. NASCAR made their bed so let 'em lay in it.

I actually kinda' enjoy seeing the stands empty at truck, nationwide and Cup races!! They done it to themselves.

I try to watch the trucks, Nationwide and Sprint series every week if I can. I like the trucks the most. Truck tickets are pretty cheap, so it's not price. The Sprint Cup tickets though are SO expensive. NASCAR's pricing themselves out of their fans spending limit with that series.

I agree they have forgotten who their fan base is or was at this point.most working class people can't spend the extra money sad thing is this is true at the local dirt tracks as well most have raised gate prices to make up for lower ticket sales.

Lotta' truth in your post r6m. The lack of spectatorship seems to be trickling down to the grass roots level, which is very troubling since those grass roots venues are where lifelong race fans are made.

We've seen first hand how fickle the bandwagon NASCAR fans of the 1990's and early 2000's are. It was a passing fad to those people. A fairly large number of those same bandwagon fans that were jam packing all the Cup races back in the time frame I mentioned now look down on NASCAR as passe' and unworthy of their interest. And the vast majority of those people never went to a local dirt track and thought that brand of racing was unworthy of their attention even when they were rabid NASCAR fans. I personally know several people who fall into that category.

And so sad because the tracks put on some of the best racing of any type of racing from time to time.

The expense was the reason for my quitting going, and not only NASCAR but the place it is held at jacks the hell out of their prices too....I can see raising a little to pad the pocket a little but (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) the motel costs at PRI more then doubled in a period of five years.... For all out racing, the trucks win by a mile, but I do truly like them all....
