Clayton in post 14 do you really want to use the word "was". There are people on you tube who are indicating she became a citizen of Canada. If she was a USA citizen and then became a Canada citizen then Cruz would not be eligible to be president.
"His mother "was" a US citizen".

No no Kid if you are a democrat the rules are different. You have to be at least 14 and then live here 5 more years and then when your son is born he would be eligible president some day. Kid I'm still not buying the 14 years old and then you have to live here 5 more years. I can see if you migrate here and then became a citizen that law would apply but not if you were born here. What if your family were in the military when you were 14 and they got station in another country. One of your parents took a job promotion and you had to move to a different country. You returned when you were 20 and became pregnant. That child wouldn't be allow to be president?
