The president was so determined to get the Iran deal done and fast. No sane and patriotic leader would do this as it has world wide implications not just Israel. So if an EMP attack happens to the US, and we are IN THE DARK, is the president not in the perfect position to declare Martial Law, in a crippled nation where people will seek help in anyway they can to keep from starving? We also have terrorist infiltration that has been shown to be present in all 50 states. But despite that the president has disabled our southern border and even calls for Syrian and other middle east (so called Refugees) to be brought to this nation. And why? Why do bordering Arab nations refuse to take any of them? It's a matter of populating the west intentionally. Does anyone think the intentions are actually good? It is no TIN FOIL HAT conspiracy theory going on about the peaceful revolution going on in this nation, IT IS A FACT. The Communist party works through the Democrat party and is actually the biggest part of it. And they are destroying this nations laws, culture, and freedoms. You SEE them side with Muslim radicals, and all opposition movements that are going on on the streets of America, and the massive drive to welcome and even bring hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants who are overwhelmingly poor, uneducated, and criminal into this nation and can you name one good reason? These people have their foot in the door and in most of the government and they are NOT going to stop now when they are so close. Yes they are ruthless enough to do what many clueless people brush off as whacko theories. That's what they label they, they have to and the medias are in their pockets to distort, and create false narratives and opinions to deceive as much as the public as the can. Their PR is their greatest weapon. The president is going to issue an executive order on GUN CONTROL also soon. We see how gun control works in cities such as Chicago and the so called gun free zones. He wants to take guns away from the law abiding citizens just because criminals use them to commit crimes? Come on, it's all about disarming the public and making them defenseless.
Clayton I must state this! ....do like you quite a bit when it comes to these types of subjects! ... I don't feel so alone on it and what not.....

The man has disgraced the office of President. His ineptness will be felt for years to come. Here is the thing. The middle east is in shambles and deep down he knows it. His actual plan is to hand it off to the next Pres and blame them when things turn completely chaotic and we lose much more of our world wide power. His plan, point the finger to protect his legacy. The sad truth is the "elitist" is often the dumbest person in the room and that certainly applies here. Of course the "elitist" thinks they are the smartest person in the room, and that certainly applies here. Liberals destroy everything they are put in charge of, but not enough voters ever learn that. Stupid is as stupid votes.

Congress the most corrupt in anytime in this nations history. Only out to protect the special interests groups that line their pockets. Until we as a Americans get serious about stopping this practices it's only going to get worse.

          Interesting read by Mr. Wetter.

Seems to really believe the President is not only the elected leader of the USA, but a real bona fide magic man who can somehow single handedly walk into a negotiation with the Iranian crackpot leadership and they will instantly fall flat on their faces prostrate before him and do as he commands.

Fun Fact: With the Iranian nuclear deal, Iran can still do whatever it wants to when it comes to making a nuclear weapon and a delivery system.

Fun Fact: Without the Iranian nuclear deal, Iran can still do whatever it wants to when it comes to making a nuclear weapon and delivery system.

Fun Fact Conclusion: It doesn't matter what the "deal" is, if another country wants to flip the good old USA the bird, stick their butt in our face and do whatever they want, they can. Deal or No Deal. That's the only bona fide fact that matters. And if they do, then we will do something about it, liberal, conservative or independent. If it genuinely threatens our shores, we will take action. No doubt in my mind about that.

But, we won't be dictating to other nations what they can and cannot do. It's that simple. But as anyone who has ever dealt with difficult people and difficult situations knows, you start with getting whatever you can get in terms of concessions, agreements, etc and you give up as little as you have to in order to get as much as you can. It's a balanced approach.

And it is very unlikely, when dealing with difficult, ridiculous, unstable people that even if they do agree to your every demand they will genuinely back that up with action. In all likelihood, if the Iranian crackpots just walked in, fell flat on their faces before us, signed off on whatever we put before them and walked out, the "agreement" would not be worth the paper it was written on. Just like the one we have now. But hey, a politician could run around for months telling everyone what a great, hard line negotiation it was and raise campaign fund off it, couldn't they?

This isn't the end of the Iranian situation. It isn't the beginning. It's just another round in what has been and will be MANY rounds with those people. And they don't just bend over and take it because "'Merica' said SO!" It isn't everything we want. But it does amount to a start, and when dealing with ridiculous people, a start is better than nothing.

As far as this idea that an attack that will knock out the electrical grid, pushing the USA into total darkness and that being the means by which we all end up in giant internment camps, I just think that is a very unrealistic thought process and relies too much on things happening that are extremely unlikely. But, if you want to believe that they are exactly the opposite, that the strangest, most randomly unlikely and improbable things you can think of are in fact the most likely and logical, that's your business.

All it looks to me is like someone, somewhere took totally unrelated, random ideas and strung them together to come to a most unrealistic conclusion. Just like someone quoting the Bible with one line from one part strung together with one line from a different book and proclaiming it means something that it never was intended to mean.

The Bible instructs believers to be the sanest, calmest, most rational voices in the room, not given to flights of fancy or wild speculation. Believers are to be truth seekers who seek wise counsel. I just don't think people who are vying to make a buck selling snake oil in the media are the folks I would be looking to as my "wise counselors."

Did I understand that someone on here thinks what is happening in the middle east is not threatening our shores? We have Chamberlain running this country and he also turned his back on Israel. Recipe for disaster. So poster who wants to injected thoughts on the Bible, which is fine, wondering if he knows what the Bible says about Countries in power who turn their back on Israel? Enquiring mind wants to know. What happened to Chamberlain's country?

So in making a deal to insure nuclear weapons too Iran, and the release of $150 billion of capital to aid in the program and their terrorist program, along with getting the UN's support in doing so is the better deal? Yep let them inspect themselves to boot, and promise to protect the nuclear weapons program from attack from other nations such as Israel.

I don't see any realistic use for the words FUN FACTS in this issue. Other than your usual way of trying to belittle someone else's opinion. I don't think you are looking through objective eyes at reality. The 'SNAKE OIL SALESMAN" and the TIN FOIL HAT nonsense got old five years ago.

Your bringing the BIBLE into defending your leftist liberal views and beliefs does not work at all. Does your church actually take this kind of stance also?

Rest easy at night with your head in the sand, still in denial about reality. Don't worry about the EMP's or the shutting down of coal run power plants by the many dozens. Without alternative replacements, I might add. The wisdom of your president and his following will tell you it's just a snake oil salesman or a bad ole Republican trying to scare you for political gain.

                  {Believers are to be truth seekers who seek wise counsel. I just don't think people who are vying to make a buck selling snake oil in the media are the folks I would be looking to as my "wise counselors."}

Tnie you said this, so why are you still so lost when it comes to wisdom. Using religion to stand behind, but still not finding wisdom possibly.

Many of us in this nation and around the world have learned not to be so gullible about the history of mankind. If you think GOD would guide you to say the things that you have said above and reward you for wisdom, I don't see that happening.

Nope but probably because this is historically and factually wrong. He would be at least the fourth US President to attempt a run for a third term. Ulysses S. Grant (lost in 1880 primary), Grover Cleveland (lost third general election in 1896), and as previously pointed out, FDR (won a third term in 1940 and fourth in 1944) have run in a third US Presidential election. One could also include Teddy Roosevelt in 1912, but he technically did not run for his first term served.

has any one of you ever hear/come across this?...... in case of an emergency 'elections' can be suspended!
Not in his interest. He would have to essentially declare martial law for such a grand 'emergency.' In doing so, a civilian government usually cedes authority to the military power. Thus, the generals are in charge and not an elected official; then after a set of facts/circumstances are achieved, martial law would end and the suspended elections would be rescheduled. Of course it depends on the structure of the 'law' providing the military take over, but given the known and proven initial fallacy of the first opinion stated, this should be viewed as an unlikely hypothetical scenario.

T.nie, some will never get it no matter how hard you try. I don't care what you do your not going to stop Iran. I don't care what agreement you get with them. They can't and never will be trusted no matter what you try and do. The agreement they got with Iran is a joke and everyone knows it.

Iranians are the descendants of Ishmael, bastard son of Abraham. The Bible says, 'he shall be against every man(nation), and every man (nation) against him". That is why there is no peace in the Middle East. It was prophesied thousands of years ago for all you naysayers that don't believe in the inerrant word of God (Bible).

As far as the nation of Israel, the Bible is very clear! God says, "I will bless those that bless you, and curse those that curse you". This is one of the many scary ideas why Obama is not to be trusted. He is never fully in their corner and is always resisting their policies.

An EMP attack is a nuclear electro-magnetic pulse explosion that would wipe out the nation’s electric power grid caused by the detonation of a nuclear weapon in the atmosphere over the U. S. mainland. Its impact would take months or years to recover from, if full recovery was even possible.

What is the likely Impact of an EMP Attack on Americans?

Military and civilian damage would be unprecedented and staggering. Communications, electronics, banking, transportation, refrigeration, and food production and distribution would probably be largely wiped out. Chaos and anarchy would be widespread. Tens of millions of Americans would die from lack of food and water and the lack of critical medical supplies and health care. One estimate of casualties by U. S. analyst Peter Vincent Fry is that up to 90% of Americans might die as a result of an EMP attack. Even if he is over-estimating the death toll, casualties will be a major blow to the nation on a level never before experienced.

Who Might Launch an EMP Attack against America?

The two most likely countries are North Korea and Iran. North Korea already has a mobile KN-08, a North Korean mobile ICBM, that can be fitted with a nuclear warhead and can be launched at the United States. It need not be accurate to be lethal. Such an ICBM delivered nuclear weapon and explosion over the U. S. can wipe out our electric grid.

                              What about Iran?

It has been reported that American military officials have translated a secret Iranian military handbook that endorses an EMP attack on the United States. Apparently, 20 specific locations over the U. S. have been targeted already.

Besides using a missile, a ship based in the Atlantic Ocean or a satellite might be the platform for an EMP attack.

What Can be Done to Protect America?

                              1. Don’t allow Iran to get nuclear weapons through foolish negotiations that will threaten America and Israel. Iran’s military has endorsed an EMP attack on America. ISIS has threatened to fly the ISIS flag over The White House.

                              2. Make protecting America from an EMP attack the #1 National Security issue TODAY and in the 2016 Presidential Election campaign.

                              3. Contact elected officials in the House and Senate and share your concern. Arizona Rep. Trent Franks has been leading the efforts to protect America from an EMP attack.

                              4. Support projects like the Boeing Corporation’s Anti-Shockwave Laser weapons project that hopefully will absorb, deflect, and limit an EMP attack, with a plasma field of superheated air.

                              5. In recent years, a number of important pieces of legislation garnered widespread support in the House, only to get stalled in the Senate. It’s time to wake up and protect America.

                              6. The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) is moving its headquarters back into Cheyenne Mountain near Colorado Springs, Colorado because it can withstand an EMP attack. It’s important to upgrade NORAD’s capability to include a southern flank defense should an EMP attack be launched against the U. S. from the south. Currently, Cheyenne Mountain has a northern flank defense because it was designed to protect northern inbound attacks from Russia.
