My worry is when you flip a guy like that & his car catch's fire he doesn't get out ..... Yea ... That will teach him a lesson .... Next time he wont slide up on you ....I wonder how bad you'd feel if that car was on fire ....

Bob, the guy that slide up, is the guy that flipped, also the guy that knew there was a car there when he started that action.... the guy that flipped was at fault, if anyone should lift, it should have been him.... now with that said, maybe you got a hard on for the other guy, I don't know, but he held his line, he couldn't go any higher cause there is a wall there and it is not his job to lift for some clown with a bad temper .... and if the clown with the bad temper gets his car burnt up, then I guess that would be karma...

Quick short story... at a local track we rarely go to, about 5 hours away, we show up one night... we start in the heat second row inside, they drop the green and the guy in 6th comes across our nose like a wild man trashes the car a bit and goes on to finish second, we were fourth, knocked the toe out a bunch... so after the heat our drive goes over to the guy and asks him what gives with that pass? Guy tells him they ain't no puzzies racing at that track, he'd been racing their for 20 years and that's the way you race.... Our guy says oh, ok, just wanted to know where we stood...Main time comes around, our guy starts tenth in a 20 lap main, drives his way to second by lap 17 or so and guess who is in front of us.... you guessed it, we won, and there weren't any puzzies racing in those front two cars, moved him on turn four going for the checkered....not a single word said either.... Moral.... you earn what you get....

Im not sure why you would think I have anything against the guy in the 15 ? I don"t .... The car flips look cool to the fans in the stands ....Everyone clapped when he climbed out of the car & was ok .... When I watched the video IMO it looked like the guy on the bottom was ahead of the 15 in the middle of the corner .... I think the guy on the bottom looked to his right while he was in the corner and thought he could clear him ... I watched Boggs run the bottom that nite and he came up to the wall almost every time .... No one did that to Boggs .... So when I ask what the rule is ....Most the time i hear the guy on the inside cant see you unless your have your bumper to his door panel ....In this case the 15 didn't .... This is where Im hearing the guy on the high line should check up .... I didnt say he has too ....Its all there on video for anyone to give their opinion .... Now when you go and watch almost every weekend you do get to know the cars who make the highlight reels .... Like this one ....Foot race

Just to be clear about the video .... I saw it posted on facebook ....Saw a few post about who was in the wrong .... I simply brought it here to debate .... I have nothing in this other than to understand why it happened .... Yes I do have a opinion .... My take on this is deal is .... Alot of these guys are hard core racers ... I get that ....But they also have to be able to work the next day ... in this case the car that flipped was ok .... But was it his fault and was it right to not lift ? My point would be if your in that car racing on a friday nite ....you should know its being videoed for debate on monday .....

The guy on the outside near the wall was the victim here, he's staying in his line... I don't understand the thinking of "I'm almost past you so you should lift and let me go".... Racers don't generally do that....

In my opinion the guy was doing nothing more then a slide job, sometimes your a hero and sometimes you end up on your head... The guy on the outside near the wall was the victim here, he's staying in his line... I don't understand the thinking of "I'm almost past you so you should lift and let me go".... Racers don't generally do that....

I read on face book some of the regulars there agree with you .... I also read the top 5 were going to transfer into the feature ... They were running 4th n 5th when the flip happened ..... They were both already in the feature ... Well .... untill the 15 car taught him a lesson about leaving him a lane at the top ... I had to leave after the late model feature since it was already after 12 midnite .... Tell me what did the 15 accomplish friday night ? Yea he made it into the feature .... How much would you guess the 15 got at the payout window at the end of the night ....

When I raced the standard was "Guy in front takes his line, you go where he isn't." The dude making that pass was all but 4 inches clear, I don't see how it's his job to make sure the guy in back has somewhere to go coming off the corner. All that guy had to do was feather just a smidgen and no contact.

That was a good "block pass" move coming off the corner, you get in lower, you stay in the middle and drive right by the dude and by the time you're coming off the corner you're so far clear of him you can't see him outside you any more and you take your line for the straightaway. Then it's up to him if he wants to wreck or not.

This time around, the guy behind chose to wreck. Could have just as easily tore his own stuff up too. Now, maybe this was a payback for something else the flipping dude did in previous events, we just don't know. Maybe he had a trip down the front straight seeing stars/dirt/stars/dirt coming because he did it to that dude before.

But in the normal process of racing around here, you do that to someone, you are going to get it back. Hard. And I have seen guys suspended for a month of so for driving through someone and flipping them like that. Either that guy knew exactly what he was doing (hook the tail end of the car in front, nail the throttle and turn the guy so he flips) and what was going to happen and did it anyway, or he is some dumb rookie who needs a ride like that so he doesn't do it again.

Either way what I saw was pretty dirty driving and either there is a reason he flipped him, or he's got one coming now.

Speakin' of clowns with the bad temper that phrase pretty much sums up your hero, doesn't it?

The difference is, pee wee jr. would be runnin' away as opposed to going after the guy! LOL!!

Your welcome to your opinion, I don't see it that way.... and as far as the pay window, I double that the heats pay anything.... and if he lifts, how does he know there isn't another car right behind the one he lifts for and he then doesn't make the show.... the whole idea is to make the show.... lifting would complicate that, now wouldn't it.... Kyle Busch did the exact same thing for the win at Bristol in the Exfinity race, exact same thing....it was not Bad Brads fault that Kyle tried to make room where there wasn't room, Kyle was at fault, whether he wants to admit it or not...


When I was racing, I had the moniker "Deadly" I ran high and hard..... you try to squeeze me out, you'd probably end up paying a price... I might to, but only once...
