I don't know where you live Nate, but if your in Cali, and want to own a home, there is no way to not be in at least that amount of debt....our house when we bought it 20 years ago was $136,000.... its a tract home, a nice tract home, but non the less a tract home...so right there your article is pretty much irrelevant... and Cali isn't the only state that way.. Washington, Oregon and Nevada and Az are right there too, as well as Colorado, Utah....need I go on?
