CW please explain why the USA spend more on their military budget than the next 6 nation combined. I don't mine spending tax dollars on the military to protect us but I don't think we need to be the world police. As far as socialism goes our military is socialism at is best. Didn't you worked on a military base? You also indicated it was a union job but you refused to pay union dues even though you benefited form the union contracts. This just shows what a hypocrite you really are.
No I didn't lose any food stamps benefits but think god if I needed them they would be available. Fortunately I had a career which was a form of socialism and was a union job which I paid dues and received a pension.

Its insane what we are spending on the defense department. We could have spent about a 1/6 on our military and we would still be in existence today. There would probably be some companies who supplied some goods to the military that wouldn't exist today. An American making $50,000 a year pays just $42.00 a year for social safety net programs but $6000.00 a year for corporate welfare.

850 stimulus package helped save the country from a depression thanks to the previous administration. The only good thing I can say about the ACA at least they are making citizen get health insurance. When I had to go to the emergency room and there were people there without insurance getting free medical attention, and my insurance was getting charged 3 times what it should of cost them so the hospital could recovered what they lost to supply free medical attention to the uninsured. I guarantee you we were paying a lot more then than we are now. I was glad that someone finally did some thing. Any bill helps others but hurts others its just how it is.
