Oh litey, you wouldn't know what living in the past is if it came up and bit you right in the scrotum, that is if you have a scrotum! LOL!!!!

        Babe?!

Nope, he doesn't care what people who can't do anything for him think. There are a lot of people these days who feel that way from all walks of life. Nothing new there.

What he doesn't have is not even one legit championship or a win total of any significance compared to the really great ones. And he doesn't have the aforementioned truly important things that money can't buy, but again, there are a lot of people these days who were never taught the human character virtues that can't be bought.

Yeah I'm pretty sure I have it figured out and it's probably best I leave it right there

Yeah, I reckon so. Nothing you can say at this point could possibly further your position.

I have question since you don't agree with the way NASCAR crowns a Champion do you still see it as a legitimate champion?

Not when the driver sets out any portion of the season and has to have the rules relaxed in order to have opportunity to win.

Put aside last year. I'm talking about the way they crown a Champion with the chase format?

The designation of how points are awarded should be clearly delineated for each and every year. For instance, The King won his record 7 Championships under 3 or 4 different point systems and the differences should be indicated in any discussion of stats and legacy. In reference to the chase, it's merely another failed gimmick that could neither sustain nor increase fan interest but the champion is nonetheless legit. Unless of course the champion didn't compete in 30% of the seasons points events and the rules had to be circumvented in order to be eligible to win it.

                            Whose age?

And yes, he fulfilled the requirements set forth by NASCAR and that included some special rules considerations. Considerations that surely were brought to bear by big money sponsors without which NASCAR would be hurting worse that they already are if they went away. A little NASCAR guilt was in the mix, as well.

Muddy and litey make a great team, don't they? LOLOLOL!!!

There is no way of knowing how pee wee's season would have gone if he'd competed in all the races. He may well have dug himself a hole that he couldn't climb out of or he may have smoked the competition, in which case it wouldn't have made a bit of difference. Since the points are reset which in turn cheapens the significance of the races prior to the reset. What is absolutely clear to fair minded, clear thinking fans is that a championship won by a driver who competed in 30% less races than the other championship contenders is illegitimate. That fact can be spruced up to look any way the beholder chooses but it's still a fact.

Well unfortunately you don't get to make the rules so according to NASCAR Kyles championship is legitimate. Now you don't have to like or agree to it but, the fact is NASCAR crowned him as the champion and that is all that matters.

No question about that, but what matters to NASCAR and their apologists doesn't necessarily matter to those of us who mourn it's continued steady demise.

NASCAR has always made and changed the rules to suit either their own, or a high dollar money concern, benefit. It's not unfortunate for me that I have not a smidgen of input in the rules. I have no monetary stake and very little emotion invested in NASCAR these days so that is a moot point.

NASCAR may have crowned pee wee jr. champion but many, many former, and even some current NASCAR fans do not acknowledge him as a legitimate champion, and for good reason. And they aren't incorrect, living in the past, curmudgeons, malcontents, etc., etc., etc., in doing so. What happened is a mockery of a once proud racing series that cheapened that series even more than the silly gimmicks already had.

If you believe this travesty was a miraculous feat of team performance and driving prowess to have some of the rules ignored that's your choice, however superficial it may be. But, to most objective, clear thinking folks it's just another NASCAR anomaly intended to please someone or some moneyed entity.
