When I first started racing, it was 5 bucks to get in the pits and 2 bucks for insurance... I could race all night every week for 20 bucks, cause my race fuel (premium gas) was sponsored ... five bucks for gas in the pickup, three bucks for beer and enough left over for a snack at the track or on the way home... now that was the good old days....Comment

I charged $10 for a 'license' and put it in the point fund. My IMCA modified champ got $2200 in '87 IIRC.Member of the Luxemburg Speedway Hall of Fame
