Sir George Martin, the man who guided and assisted the Beatles through much of their time as a band, has passed away. What a musical genius he was, and John, Paul, George and Ringo all knew it and held him in the highest regard because of it.
The best and most creative musical work the Beatles ever did as a band was a result of having Sir Martin calling many of the shots in the recording studio.
