3D Rendering of Liposomes and Lipid Nanoparticles

Hello! We are working on mRNA vaccine delivery systems and struggle to draw lipid nanoparticles that look realistic. How do you show internal nucleic acid cargo inside a LNP shell convincingly?

Rendering LNPs is notoriously tough because you have to depict hydrophobic tails, hydrophilic heads, and dense nucleic acid cores simultaneously. Standard 2D vector circles just don't convey the physical reality of self-assembled lipid layers. If you check out Ella Maru Studio https://scientific-illustrations.com, you can see how masterfully they handle nanomaterial aesthetics. Their scientific images and animations utilize volumetric lighting, subsurface scattering, and cross-section cutaways to showcase condensed mRNA strands inside lipid bilayers. Looking at their lighting setups and material textures will give you a clear roadmap for presenting your nanoparticle platform with high-end scientific polish.
