Default help with a 06 bms metric

springs are 650 on rf and a 700 on lf and the tie rod is hitting the frame, i was thinking about putting the 700 on the rf and getting a 750 or maybe a 800? o nova lowers also.

im also curious as to what the ride heights should be on a metric car with nova lowers. and where to measure,
the drive says she gets in good but when the cars gets on the bars it gets a push the gets loose, im sure its got something to do with the rf bottoming out,
it sucks having a chevelle car with a 550 rf and not really thinking about how different they are.

They make a bent tie rod to fix this. Ride height front on my impressive is 7-7/8 from the ground to center of the front lower control arm bolt.

we put a bent one on it but i still was concerned the spring rates may be to soft? and thanks for the measurement, i have tried getting set up sheets from bms but they say the car is to old for them to have them available.

I have a homebuilt car with metric clip and metric lowers. 750 LF spring and 850 RF spring. The RF a-arm bottoms out a bunch on the frame. Has the paint scraped right off on the front of the a-arm. Still have about an inch of travel on the shock. I know some guys that go 950-1050 and i believe Lightening or Vicotry (cant recall which) makes metric clipped cars and recomends starting at 1K RF spring.

talked to the guys at close racing supply and he tolp me to raise the ride heights and go 50 pounds heavier on the springs, has a 700rf and 750lf now. and if there is still travel left in the rf go back down to the original springs or go softer if there is still travel left,

also i was wondering what the rear bar angles should be, kinda lost on this subject as i run a 3 link car and the 4 bar car is new to us this year. springs are on cage, lr behind shock infront and rr spring and shock infront, and should the rr be chained? track is normaly dryyyyyyy slick as we live in the desert
    Thanks

I have a metric clip car with nova lowers and run 650RF and 700LF spring at several tracks. Call speedway and ask for a AFCO catalog and start with the bar angles suggested in the catalog. I use those angles as a base setup and they work good.

    20 LRU
    5LRL
    15-18 RRU
    0-5 RRL

Bars should have around 2in difference top to bottom.

    This is a starting point
