Due to the high cost of fuel, we don't want folks to travel for nothing. If you had plans of traveling today, stand-by. A decision will be made around 6PM tonight. We really want to get this in this week, but...well, we'll see later.

Thursday night's practice has been cancelled. Friday night's racing is still ON for 7PM. We want to give mother nature 24 more hours to be sure. Check back here tomorrow night for more information.

Due to Thursday night rains at the speedway, the Pelican 100 will now be a ONE-Day show on Saturday night, 6PM with FULL A-MAIN purse!

We really tried to hold off on this but can't wait any longer...

The Pelican 100 is rescheduled for NEXT WEEKEND, March 15th, 16th & 17th.

Everything is just too wet (1.9 inches of rain last night) and more is predicted tomorrow and worse tomorrow night & Sunday. Thanks to our sponsors, racers and fans for their patience. We really wanted plan A. Now it's time for plan B! Cya next week!!!

And this is so 37 seconds ago...ok, minutes but if you'd 'Like' us & follow us on FB, you'd already know! ;-) http://www.facebook.com/pages/Ark-La...11681355569776 Also, follow 'HooksRPM' at http://www.twitter.com/HooksRPM and you'd have known at 11:37AM! A one day show on April 1st would've worked best IMO. I'm not crazy about racing on Sunday, but you could catch the cars coming home from the Lucas show at Lone Star Speedway on the 31st.

In theory anyway. We were getting word that a lot of them wouldn't race with us and by paying a $35,000 purse in a one-day show after wearing out the pockets of fans at both Jackson & Kilgore, would have lost $$$. Not saying we won't try it if the sponsors want to should it rain out again but this was a better option for everyone IMO.
