Boys if you wanna see a dirt race that's 3 wide all night head to the bullring, Tyler county Hillbilly 100. That's a race righ there fellas. You will pick dirt out of places you didn't know your body had but other than the dust it's a helluva show. It's a chithole but I guarantee they won't pace out and run nose to tale all night. I bet the winner comes from midpack or further back. Track will change 100 times in 100 laps. Gonna be a show

http://www.knoxvilleraceway.com/page...ty-fairgroundsOriginally posted by Bubstr View PostThey raced stock cars at Knoxville in 1895. Is that a long enough history for you? A lot of Hall of fame drivers raced there. Ernie Derr Ramo Stott, (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) Hucherson, Don White, Some of the Wallaces, And several World 100 winning drivers. Just because it's known for Sprint car racing, don't mean stock cars haven't been there for the special races. And yes it puts on a better race than Eldora 90% of the time. Not saying The world isn't the premier race of the year, but it's about tradition not the racing. There are several places that have better racing, day in and day out.

Oldfan, those aren't bullrings, those are wasted pieces of gods green earth. You can't even race in those tracks. Tyler county is called the bullring, check the website my man. You can run 4 wide at the fastest 1/4 mile track in the world. If you lift in qualifying you will not make the show. Trust me when I say Tyler county is a bullring and it produces some of the best racing in the country. Macon is straight trash

Highside there will definitely be a cushion and the cushion will move up 3-4 feet as the night goes on. It won't matter though because this good ole hillbilly dirt won't slime up. It's gonna take rubber, pack in and let the good times roll. Imo whoever get their car rolling the center and bite off the corner will win the race. I bet as many laps that will be on that track the modifieds will be rolling around the bottom also. If you guys have never been? I highly suggest heading up to this one. Gonna be a big tire game also. Wouldn't count out Erb, Oneil, B Shep. If you make the show, you stand a chance to win at Tyler county. Come feature time HP will not be needed

I thought I may have missed something with the raving review on Tyler Co, so I looked at a few races in U Tube. Thinking we had a thread on this track this spring after the WOO race. People where wondering if they lost the water truck. If you pay for a ticket, you would like to see a race, not a big cloud of dust. It compares to Eldora but only in the dust department. People are thinking of dropping their tickets to the world and dream, because of the dust. Why would they want to put up with it for a lesser show? The racing didn't look that bad but, Ill take Macon any day. You may get dirty because you sit close to the track, but it's not hanging in the air all night. They have a water truck. Take a look at FALLs, Tri City, LaSalle, 34 raceway, Farmer City, Knoxville, I80 and see what real race tracks are supposed to be.

Your gonna get dusty without a doubt but there will not be any single file racing. There will be cars 3-4 wide for 100 laps. That's the kicker. The track will take the water and won't be any dust until the heat races. I was there for the 50 lapper in June and told my buddy I will never be back because of the dust during the heat races. Halfway through the modified race the track took rubber and by feature time for the super cars the dust wasn't a problem. I was on the edge of my seat for 50 laps just because of the 3 wide racing literally every lap. After that I would have rolled in a sandpit because a little dust won't kill me well actually a lot of dust early. Only thing is lapped traffic can cause major problems fast. The leaders will be in lapped traffic in 5-6 laps and I don't care what a race track looks like my guy. I go to see side by side racing besides, if I wanted pretty tracks with chitty racing, I'd go to a nascar race lolLast edited by Centeroff; 08-22-2016, 11:01 PM.

Yea those tracks are smaller than Tyler county but the corners are just too tight. I have raced at bigger go kart tracks than Macon. Dirt is a lot better up there than Tyler county. Trust me TC isn't much to look at for sure but when the track is right it's racey as chit. The tracks you mentioned have a lot of bite, TC not so much but there is more corner than straights and that's what makes for good racing. You guys should come down because it's gonna be a good one
