If it is a televised race you should probably keep racing and hope for the best. I never understood the logic for not finishing when your in a big show. You got the car, the hauler, the pit crew, the hotels, the tires, the tools, the race gas, the two days of travel, etc. etc. and you made the show, and now your going to worry about wearing out the car. If you have 7,000 + spectators watching the race you got to stay in it to win it!

If only going make $250 different. Why put more wear on your car. Trying go from 15th to 11th with 6 to go then blow a motor or just damage it might cost all your money.

Because in the end it's a business. Be like owning an excavating company and using a large trackhoe that costs more to maintain than a little one to dig 5-10' deep. You're just pi$$ing money away to say you did it. Conserve it for another day and be smart.

If I was racing and in this position, unless I felt like I could really gain some ground, I'd pull off too.

But it wasn't his fault, his crew guy didn't signal they were coming on the top. SMH, just admit you got beat

The TV isn't going to show you toiling for 14th place. When it costs $20/lap to keep rolling on, why not just pull it in?

True skinny, The cameras don't even show the guys that are passing cars like mad, if they ar 10th or more. Look at the high lights or even PPV. I might add, it's some of the best racing of the night at times.comes from nowhere to bid for the lead. They didn't come from nowhere, they where passing cars left and right only too far behind the camera.
