Has anyone actually ever heard someone get busted, and not deny it? It's a shame that this happened to a likeable guy, but I'm tired of hearing the "must had been a flawed test" story everytime.

Now you sound exactly like somebody who would cheat their tires. You got excuses already.

Josh how can you totally fault the crews and drivers, and give the racing associations a clean pass. It is corrupt across the board.

I normally agree with Bayko on almost every topic on this site. I’m going to take a neutral stand on this one. I know that racers cheat, anything that can make them go faster, they will try. Some cheat tires, some find other ways to be quicker. I believe most guys that have been caught in recent years have been guilty, no matter how much denying it they do. I also think there are several other factors that can cause a tire to fail, some mentioned in this thread. I don’t know Zack personally but have been around him enough to think he wouldn’t do this. I’m also not in his shop every day, so who knows. It’s weird to me that his tires passed at Eldora and numerous other races, but this one did not. Could the tire be bought Wednesday before the race been tampered with before he bought them? Too many questions to label him a cheater right now.

Like I said before, I’m well aware tire cheating occurs a lot. Guys like Madden, Bloomer, and Owens have been caught multiple times. They’re notorious tire cheaters. But I also think it’s a flawed process and there’s too many variables.

Sucks for sure. Has there been any kind of report listing whose tires were tested after the race?

People can be caught on camera killing someone and still deny it. People deny deny deny.

I agree, I'll go one step farther. Body of sancetion have a pre and post test the same night. When you buy your tires, they take sample right there in front of you. You sign off on all your pre samples. If the tire does have defects they know from the first sample. If pre and post don't match, then they can investigate farther.

I'm going to chime in on this deal and some of y'all can call me a dumb@$$ if you'd like but here is my take on it. I worked at a furniture factory in the receiving dept for almost 15 years and I unloaded trucks daily most of our paint, paint thinner and acid wash would usually be delivered by Schneider, JB Hunt, AAA Cooper, or Swift and sometimes a local company getting a backhaul and drop it off but if I had a nickel for every tire I've seen stacked on top of this products or laying in the floor next to it or next to a pallet of batteries I'd be rich. Most of the tires I seen was just regular automobile tires or sometimes tractor tires but if these racing tires is hauled the same way once they leave the factory there is no telling what in the hell they've come in contact with. I've seen plenty of busted buckets of chemicals and paint thinner pour out in the trailers and everything be piled in right on top of it. Every time I hear of somebody getting busted for hot tires first thing I think of is what I've seen down through the years from the way these things are hauled across the country. I'm not saying people don't cheat them up but I'm saying it's very (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) possible some people has got busted from something contaminating them before they did get in their hands.

This is exactly where I stand too. I usually err to the side of the test ,but man its hard to not take the Dohm's at face value. Like I said, if there has ever been a time to believe the racer its this one. Maybe thats they going for... under the radar and unsuspecting

Since you guys are braggin on Bayko I will too.... Good job. Always a poster, knowledgeable, clearly spoken, and seems everyone gets a fair shake from you. I appreciate the real name users too!

You have to double click on the "reply with quote" button for it to work.

Yep, it's been that way for many years. I honestly can't remember not double-clicking it.

Even double clicking doesn't work sometimes. You can do that, itll come up with nothing to quote. Its been doing it to me some lately.
