I dont know whats best doc , on opening night at TST , track was plowed up and tacky as could be , Hiett came out and beat the track record by 1/2 second , and led every lap of race and hardly no passing at all , he is a good driver , butt , his equipment and horse power prevailed in those conditions ,so its hard to decide which is best , but in the end , for my situation , i will take the dry slick, JMO ,Originally posted by Doc88D View PostTrack owners in the south will not plow the track open during the week. They let it stay sealed up then add water on race day. The result is a black track after hot laps. Usually one lane for the rest of the night. I hope it turns out good over there.

Dry slick is fine if they can do it like Stokes does at the Mag. But Johnny opens the track and preps it to end up that way. Many of these guys fail to put in the work to get it there, The end results end up like you had last night. black stripe in one lane. No side by side racing. Finish order resembles the starting line up with exceptions of those that break or are involved in a tangle...Doc
