MLRA @ Davenport and Burlington April 20/21

Weather looks cool but drying trend, 55-60 in Davenport. Looks to be a good field of cars, here is a list that I've seen per driver web sites.

According to Stovall's Facebook and Terry Phillips website they are not following MLRA this year. Phillips is following the usmts and Stovall is running select races close to home. With Phillips not following the tour is strange because he did have LaSalle on his schedule but decided not to come because of the weather and now he isn't even going to follow the tour. So I am wondering if he was upset that they still ran the races and awarded points. I have no knowledge of this just a thought. Doesn't mean they won't show up but don't count on them being there. Now I would expect Babb and Feger both to be there because most will be going to Burlington the next night.

Usmts was off the weekend of LaSalle. From what I’ve been told decision to follow usmts was made before LaSalle even ran. TP didn’t go because the weather wasn’t looking good and he wasn’t chasing points anyway. There’s no conspiracy here, I know some are so greatly disappointed. Lol. The point fund for usmts is really good this year. As it has also pulled Rodney Sanders back to chasing the points.

USMTS pays extra each night also to Cars with perfect attendance. They have less races this year so there is more time off and yes the end of the year points money is incredible for modified.

I know Toland had put a super late together and ran Eldora and Knoxville but he blew it up big time at Knoxville. Does he have another motor now?

He was strong at Eldora when he was there, too bad he doesn't have a bigger ride. I know he has had his chances, and some probably aren't fans of his because of his attitude, but he's hard to beat and has been winning for a long time. He can flat drive that's for sure.
