He was leading.... On a restart he pushed up the track a little in the first corner. A white car (I couldn't tell who) gets under him off 2 and they were side by side down backstretch. I have no idea, but I assume the white car thought he was clear going into three and he swung wide to enter the corner. When he did he he slammed into Johnson sending him into outside wall and violently flipping into billboards some 10-15 feet in the air. Terrible accident and prayers to his family.

Very sad to hear. I’ll take your guys word for it, knowing he died, I will not watch it.Up in the air who my next “favorite†driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normalâ€.

Sad day. I don't care much about the drama over the last week or two, but it's easy to hang my head for a real situation. Such a shame and feel for those people even though I probably never seen him cut a lap. Always hate it when it happens to ANY racer. Happens to often in the open wheeled world.

The Down side of racing. Period. As per usual with me, no video. I didn't want to see Clausen and I don't want to see this one. I have lost a lot people I have come to know over the years and or watched for years. I just hope I never get used to it.

They sre saying he came down on the wall cage first...he was pretty high in the air, thats two drivers killed there in last 4 years at that place. They really should get a catch fence installed...

I did not see it as I was at Fals. Apparently it was right after a restart. I wonder if the double file restarts should be re thought. I am kind of torn on them as is. Does add to excitement but gives more chance for torn up equipment or worse. Also doesn’t give the leader much of a reward for being the leader.

Double file restart had nothing to do with this accident, as Jason was clear until he bobbled on the cushion off of 2.Originally posted by chathamracefan View PostI did not see it as I was at Fals. The leader is rewarded by getting to fire first and it's rare the leader doesn't clear himself on these restarts.
The real safety gain is looking into construction and strength of the cages. This goes for Sprints and Lates."The Wise One"

A very talented driver in the open wheel ranks. I don't ever want to watch a video showing someone getting seriously injured much less killed. Please remove this video and in the future don't even consider posting one. Have the decency to respect human life and the family from having to hear about this type of stuff. Thoughts and prayers for his wife Bobbi and family.

I'm talking to everyone. Exactly what I was saying. It's all over every media outlet on social media. Respect for the family should include NOT posting such garbage ANYWHERE. I don't click to see any of it.Originally posted by Illtsate32 View PostWho are you talking to? Hear about what type of stuff? Its plastered all over every media outlet on social media. Obviously you seem to enjoy it though. Sad.

Its garbage? I enjoy it? Ok buddy. Im actually torn on the video. Yes I wanted to see what happened, doesnt make me a bad person, I just get tired of people trying to take the moral hight ground and judging trying to tell people what to do. It happened at a public event in front of hundreds of people its not like they are leaking video off a surveillance camera. And like I was saying thats your opinion it doesnt make you right and everybody else wrong...
