Talked to Billy after the show at LaSalle tonight I expect he will go home and not continue on with the tour he told me it hit so hard that the gauges in the (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)pit were bent. He said he tweaked his neck a little and will be sore in the morning.

man that could have been really bad, i would think they would look at that spot in the track, thats not something that you don't want to see in todays world, glad to see he got it slowed down, just think if he didn't get it slowed down, if i owned that track i would take a hard look at that, its at the end of the straightaway, while racing is not safe at all, there are things we can do to help

It's stupid and should not be allowed. It's similar to Atomic turn 3 where there have been multiple flips because of this. Tyler Carpenter a few times I believe, Carrier Jr, and many more.

It's not safe and they should have to extend the wall at tracks like these. But until racers stop racing the tracks nothing will happen.

I thought they had that problem fixed. Several years ago Sammy Swindell hit that point a ton harder than that 2 years in a row. Maybe when they moved that backstretch wall out further it exposed that blunt wall again.

I was watching a couple videos of LaSalle to see how the opening is setup. Is it like an optical illusion that its there but you just can't see it unless your on the track. All I see is a solid white retaining wall around the track.
