Bull$hit. I have every right to send Lucas a naughty email when I get home from church!!! It's a clear rules violation. Even Francis should know this!!!

Everyone on here should email the series director asking for an explanation. rick@lucasdirt.com
Points battle is a joke now. Davenport got 150 points that he shouldn't have.

It doesnt even say in the rules I believe that an official has the right to allow them to switch back.
He at least should have got show up points or hardship points but not a full 150.

Racing fans hurt, but not one person raced last had problem with it not even Scott or Richard. But you want no why he was aloud to run the car didn’t have redraw it. Real simple if y’all got off your high horses.
1st car broke in hot laps not Qualifying! Read the rules very closely. He qualified in 2nd car not the 1st car. 2nd car had probably so they went back to the 1st car. Which was legal by rule book and had been through tech as well.

This isn't a hardship situation, but I guess you could argue that he should get the 50 participation points since he was legal up through qualifying. It's when he brought the original car back on the track for the heat race that he should have been DQ'd. As long as you complete qualifyimg, a heat race, or B-main you get the 50 points.Originally posted by MI Dirt Fan View PostIt doesnt even say in the rules I believe that an official has the right to allow them to switch back.

So he at least got 100 more than he is entitled to. Points battle would be a different ball game today if they enforced their own rules.

"once the Series officials have been notified of a car change, the car being withdrawn should not re-enter the event for any reason."
They were notified of a car change when he had to go through tech with his backup car and then qualified with it. End of story.

No dummy, when did his first break or had problems? in hot laps. Hot Laps is shake down. The rules state you can't bring car back when change it after qualifying and tell officials you change the car out to another. The 2nd car couldn't return to the field after switching to another car.Originally posted by quickbiscuit View PostThis isn't a hardship situation, but I guess you could argue that he should get the 50 participation points since he was legal up through qualifying. You really think Scott wouldn't put that on blast to be tied for first place. Scott would been all over that. Jd back up car was the car listed as primer car he qualified with, because that the car he qualified in. The car he mostly runs was listed as his back up car because he didn't qualify in it. If you can't understand that then you probably don't understand 1+1=2

1.Hot lapped with the primary car.
Broke transmission.
2.Pulled out backup. Qualified.
3. Found out primary car only had a transmission issue. Fixed
4. Parked backup car after using it to qualify.
5. Raced original primary car. Not the car that was used for for time trials.
Rule states
"Drivers and teams should remember that once the Series officials have been notified of a car change, the car being withdrawn should not re-enter the event for any reason"
All the rule says that once the series is notified of the car change that car is withdrawn from competition and may. It may not re enter the event. The grey area is is it before or after hotlaps. I consider hotlaps part the event program.Last edited by MI Dirt Fan; 07-15-2018, 01:29 PM.

I didn't know if Lucas did similar hard ship points like WoO. And by hardship points I meant the maximum of them allowed.Originally posted by quickbiscuit View PostThis isn't a hardship situation, but I guess you could argue that he should get the 50 participation points since he was legal up through qualifying. It doesn’t say anything about hot laps being a shake down. It does say “change anytime between time trials and a main†But hasn’t the understanding always been once a car hits the track, it’s the car in competition. Based on kwd’s interpretation of the rules, anyone can switch after hot laps bc they got to shake down the car and decide if it’s the one the want for the night. BS. Last line says it all: once series has been notified of change, that car isn’t allowed back on the track. It doesn’t say “but it’s ok if it’s after hotlaps and shaking it down firstâ€. And it sure doesn’t say one car gets labeled car 1 and car 2 then back to car 1 or 2 or A or B. You think they’re smart enough to keep up with all that? Wording not clear? Sure. But now we have another series making another stupid decision to leave the door open for everyone else to walk thru when they choose to. So why do we have a 35 page Lucas rule book if they pick and choose what to enforce? Somebody refresh my memory.

If 0 did it, ignorant Joe would be on Gaybook with every other Rumley/JD nuthugger, and Bloomquist hater crying up a storm. But guaranteed not one peep outta them about how they got one over on Lucas.
If anyone did that, including Scott, JD, or Josh, they should be DQued. Change cars three times lol.
Mine as well just burn the rule book if you cannot enforce something so simple.Up in the air who my next “favorite†driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normalâ€.
