If I had a “team” and I decided to boycott something and one of my “players “ decided to support it anyway, he would find himself in the soup line!!!! Saturday proved that the kid can still drive, seeing it in person was impressive.
I'd switch any combination of these things before Bobby:

Well, I look at it this way.

The last several years Earl Pearson could not win in the Dunn Benson ride.
He leaves the team, has a handful of wins already this season and looks like he did in his championship years.

Now along comes Bobby Pierce. Like him or hate him, this looked like it was going to be a good marriage. He has several Lucas wins this season,could have had several more, but has not.
There has been parts breaking, engines blowing, Bobby learning on tracks he has never been to before.

My conclusion is Pearson did the smart thing by leaving and Pierce should leave the team at the end of the season,because the Dunn Benson team is no longer one of the best teams in the business.

Bobby ran Davenport race because of Jeff Hoker. Hoker is one of Bobby‘s largest sponsors, no matter if he is driving the family car or the Dunn Benson car. I’m sure that Dunn Benson realizes that Hoker butters their bread also.
