I just watched it for the first time and Bronson and Pierce never even touched. I'm not sure if they even touched before that at all. Pierce just hit the cushion a bit harder than he was anticipating and jumped it. Even the guy announcing said he went into 1 and 2 as hard as he could. In fact if Hudson O'Neal had not jumped the cushion either i actually think he was actually being held up by Pierce for a few laps.

Seems to me more just a racing deal. Tempers always flare until they see the replay to really determine what actually happened.

Funny thing, it kinda depends on which video you see. One looks like Bobby jumped the cushion on his own and when he slowed to regroup Bronson got into him. Another video I saw looked totally different, it looked more like Bronson DID get into him so who knows
