People don't like to argue this point, or argue about things on here for the most part members only observe and don't comment. I get PM's to prove that. They are out there none the less. I will tell this for a fact. 9 people out of 10 in the grandstands at Blackslicktown that I've talked to, are not pleased with the dust and dryslick race track, yet they come a lot of times just to get out of the house. Keep that in mind. Hope you are happy.
Have you ever lost an argument? Maybe not in your own mind. hahaLast edited by Clayton_Wetter; 08-10-2018, 04:33 PM.

Dude...you keep changing the subject to what the fans think is best from a quality of racing standpoint??? That isn't what we were talking about. You stated (multiple times) that you think driving in slick conditions is easy compared to tacky. You're wrong about that and keep changing the subject...craziness.Originally posted by Clayton_Wetter View PostPeople don't like to argue this point, or argue about things on here for the most part members only observe and don't comment. Dust is a part of dirt racing...always has been. It can get too dusty...obviously if you can't see the cars that's a problem from a fan's standpoint.
We can debate what conditions provide better racing for the fans until the cows come home and you and I have done that before. But the debate on what conditions are (in general) more challenging for a driver is over, was over before this thread was ever started, and you should just let it go.
I'm not happy with the situation at Brownstown because they have messed that track up by putting the crown on the straights. The racing was much better regardless of tacky or slick when you could use more of the race track. 3 wide was common when the guy on the outside could really arc the straights and give 2 guys an opportunity to get up off the corner. But now not so much...at least not lap after lap. Usually 2-wide now it ends up crowded coming off the corner. It was never like that until they crowned the straights like they are now. You can argue with me on this also if you want...but again, don't take my word for it...ask anybody that races there. Nobody really likes the current configuration.

I don't agree with you on the new configuration either. From the fans standpoint most like the new configuration. So can we just agree to disagree and end this? The way the track used to be, you couldn't keep the cars on the track when it was slick, unless it slowed down so much that they were all on the bottom. Most race tracks have a degree of banking on the straightaways and it needed more. Just my opinion.Originally posted by Matt49 View PostDude...you keep changing the subject to what the fans think is best from a quality of racing standpoint??? That isn't what we were talking about. This thread is supposed to be about the Latham race, so we are both off the topic.Last edited by Clayton_Wetter; 08-10-2018, 06:01 PM.

We can agree to disagree. And you're correct in that we are both off topic. I want good racing for fans and racers and I know you want that, too. How we get there is obviously debatable.Originally posted by Clayton_Wetter View PostI don't agree with you on the new configuration either. From the fans standpoint most like the new configuration.
