    Ernie Cordier

I seen he was at the world and was in the tech line. It said on the entry list that he was also dq'ed. Anyone know why he failed inspection?

I don't understand how being legal months ago has anything to do with now.

Thanks Josh I was wondering because I know they sent him back to his pit to take his door off.

Easier to edit your post than to answer a question I guess.

My point was if he passed with the same car at the dream why did he not pass this time. Was there a rule change since the dream that he didn't know about? There I answered your question. This is the reason I don't post on here much because there is always someone looking to argue.

The fuel cell had the old style D Ring cap on it, i talked to him in the pits he said the same thing to me, passed tech at the Dream. Not sure what changed between the 2 races but i do know that's what they rung him up on.

We were looking around in the pits to get him another fuel cell so he could run Friday. So the rain may of done him a favor, time to get it legal for the rain date.

              Just say no...

Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

I can’t fault eldora for being big on safety. They had a guy coming down the line Up chute with a flash light making sure you had your head and neck restraint fastened. This is the same as telling the cop I drive 85 in the 55 every day and haven’t been pulled over yet. Just because they let him slide at the dream doesn’t mean you can expect that every time

                      Huck

                      Definitely agree.

They should have done this stuff at The Dream too. And more tracks need to tech as Eldora is.

What does it slipping by earlier in the year have to do with it being legal now? Sounds like he got a gift at the dream.

Because Ernie Cordier is not some big time racer trying to push the envelope, and he doesn't have the money to be changing stuff on his car all the time.

Do you understand now or do we need to break it down into even simpler terms?

Sorry, not looking to argue. It's just that these cars are changed daily and you can't allow something just because it got by once. Sometimes tracks will even allow something once and tell you not to bring it back until it's up to spec also. Very unfortunate that he overlooked this in the rules. Hope he is able to make it back in october.

Not having money doesn't mean you don't play by the same rules. Some people can't afford car insurance, but they still get tickets for driving uninsured.

Furthermore, it's a safety rule that was implemented after a racer burned up in his car. It's in black and white in the rule book. Seems like I'm not the one that needs it broke down!!!
