Winning with a small trailer and dually seems pretty mute when you have a totor at home.

There isn’t a truck driver in America that will quit their job to go drive the red haulers for 45 cents a mile a week.... that’s the issue.... plenty of Tmac’s friends (including myself) have CDLs and have offered to help, but Carl won’t allow anyone to drive it unless they are employed by sweetness and are paid by their pay scale...Originally posted by RaceEngineer View PostI don't say good for him. Get your CDL and put your hauler back on the road or quit crying.
Sometimes the trunk only goes 800 miles round trip to races... after taxes that’s less that 300 bucks

All I can say for the situation is that I believe it goes further than a guy with a cdl. Being retired I'd gladly drive it and would enjoy watching what teams do to race for a globe or 100k. Before all the geniuses start with the answers, unless you have been there, please don't say you know. The laughter I get from posts from guys that are pit walkers or bleacher bums is hilarious.
Maybe t-mac's toter is in need of some major repairs. Maybe the Sweetners Plus trailer, which I'm pretty sure I've read, it is garbage and needs replaced.
And before you all start. I've worked on them all for 19 years. Do I know how to make a slm or big block mod get around a track today. Naaaa, and don't give a cra* either. We rebuilt motors until 3 in the morning to make the next days race. Some of you may understand that ? But, I bet the majority have no clue.

Not a dam thing, MY POINT WAS NOT THE HAULER AND HAVING A FANCY ONE. It was that the dam truck was not worth $40k. And Roy had so many more issues than a fancy hauler.Originally posted by RaceEngineer View PostImagine what he could have done with a 5150 stacker.Up in the air who my next “favorite†driver is. It is Carl’s truck. For his insurance reasons, you have to be contracted through Sweeteners Plus.Originally posted by RaceEngineer View PostI didn't say hire a driver Ernie.
What they need to do is have a crew member with a CDL A, or get a toter and stacker. And when you tour as they do you kinda do need the bigger hauler for all your crap.Up in the air who my next “favorite†driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normalâ€.

My fingers are getting sore. I understand the legalities of the situation. If it's needed so bad, T Mac could make himself legal to drive it. Instead, he tries to make it some triumph over cancer than he won the World. It is Carl’s truck. Then quit responding sweetheart. Maybe, just maybe, Timmy don’t wanna be stuck driving all night after a race, get to the next destination, and attempt to sleep. Knowing he has all kinds of stuff to do to the car, and not enough help. And driving a semi and a 48’-53’ trailer after a race during the night will bite you eventually. It’s burning the candle at both ends.Originally posted by RaceEngineer View PostMy fingers are getting sore. I understand the legalities of the situation. I’m sure it was getting old having to use that and seeing everyone else with their fancy haulers and he has one just sitting because they can’t get a driver for peanuts.Up in the air who my next “favorite†driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normalâ€.

Again, seems like if he's in the Longhorn "house" car. Longhorn would somewhat be providing the hauler... Just sayin'.Last edited by MI Dirt Fan; 12-15-2018, 02:33 PM.

Every “house car†deal is different. The GRT house car runs on my turf, certainly not a hauler with that deal.

The whole thing sounds screwy, why does it have to be a sweetners employee, nobody is gna drive the hauler for whatever scale and not get paid to sit there through the weekend, especially if they arent race fans, pay them 150 bucks a day, and entry fee. I dont see what the big problem is, unless they are just scabby tight wads, but they sponsor the car so idk what the deal is..
