    I'm 48
    Married 23 years, no kids
    Georgia
    Technical Option Trend Trader

Began helping a friend with a hobby car in 1986, then his father with a super late model, Leon Sells was the driver. Began racing karts in 91' and continued till 2002. 1998 I went to work at Carrera Racing Shocks and was the Production supervisor as well as repairs, custom valve work and R&D. Stayed till company was sold in 2004. 02' and 03' worked with Buck Simmons on John Deere car as shock specialists, then 04' to 06' worked for Nick Manley Race Cars(Rayburn Dealer) as shock specialists. 07' & 08' worked with Spiderman Bill Morgan, M1. I haven't been active with anyone since the end of 2008, just didn't like where the cars were going. Since the end of 2015 I've been frequenting non-wing sprint races whenever I can, I think they are a better deal than DLM for the average guy anymore. I keep hoping the rule makers will wise up before DLM kills itself, but...

    Merry Christmas
    I was a highwayman
Along the coach roads I did ride

45 years old from McComb, Ohio
      Married almost 25 years
      3 children ages 25,21,17
Self -employed flooring installer for 28 years

My Dad took me to the races when I was a kid and I was instantly hooked. Growing up my Dad and Uncle had a street stock and I loved helping them. In my early 20's I bought a street stock and raced for 3 years at Millstream, Limaland and even ran at Eldora. Since then I've been helping crew and sponsor cars for my brother and a few buddies with their stocks, mods, lates, karts, and sprints. I attend races as much as I can usually 25-50 a year.

31 year old Territory Sales Manager for Genuine Parts Company (NAPA). I'm assigned to 20 stores in KY and help with sales plans, inventory control, open stores, assist with store moves etc etc. Worked at an independently owned store for 10 years before getting hired on with them.
        I've got two girls (3 and 5)
My dad wanted to get into the racing thing after the divorce with my mom. So we worked some stuff out with Greg Lucas after he stopped running the old Renegade tour in 2002 and started a limited late model team in 2003. He drove for us until 2009 and i started driving limited lates from 2009 to 2013 then stepped up to supers in 2014.
Been working on trying to get out, just because its old and it's not as big a deal and i thought it was when I was 15, or 21 when I thought I was racing Jesus and couldnt be beat, plus super lates humbled me quite a bit.

          25. Field service tech for a construction company after being a mechanic/auto tech for 4 1/2 years. Single, no kids I think, haha j/k

Dad raced on and off his whole life. I started racing at 13 in a Jr. Fwd class. Ran some sort of fwd for 7 years. Ran trucks and some figure 8 stuff. Now have been racing a sportmod for 6 years. Gotta find a new car to replace what I totaled last year. Also going to do more rally racing.

My family built and ran our own track for 6 years. Then shut it down and moved on. Now me and my brother travel to race and go watch some if the big races in Iowa. Also go to a lot of concerts.

          Eat, sleep, and breath racing.
Just a Sportmod racer at Nelson Boys Racing.

62 years old Born in Northwest Pennsylvania, Kane, PA. Used to go to McKean County Raceway in Smerhport, PA and Stateline in Busti, NY. Currently live in the Kansas City area. My favorite places to go to now are Knoxville, IA for the Late Model Nationals and several of the big events at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO. Been playing with freight trains all my life, real ones. I've been a conductor, engineer, machinist, electrician, Carman and a supervisor. I have to say that T Mac is my favorite, he does a lot with a little. Kind of like Chubzilla in the old days. The favorite part of Late Model racing for me is watching the locals compete with the touring guys. I really don't care who wins as long as the compitition is good. I truly hate shows that drag on and on and the ones with too many classes. I wish promoters would run two or three good classes and have us on the road home by 10 O'clock.

59 years old, package car driver for UPS. 3 kids married for 29yrs. As most of you my dad took me to races as a kid. Auto city and Dixie speedway every weekend in Michigan. Then we started traveling more. We go to Eldora every year for the Dream and the World. He would get me tickets for Christmas every year now I get them for him and since he no longer drives I now take him to Eldora! My favorite driver is Bobby Peirce! I don't hit to many races a year about 5. Try to go to a new track every year, last year went to I-80 for the first time and saw Bobby start in the back and make it to the front only to break with about 8 laps to go. Go to Florida every year for the winter nationals.

53 year old high school/community college math teacher, married w/2 sons.

My wife & I also have a graphics company. We sponsor a dirt car. My dad owned a gas station in Sanford NC where I grew up working afternoons, weekends & summers. So, I've always been around & loved cars. He was friends with Herb Thomas & JD McDuffie. I sat beside Les Richter at JD's funeral. So, when I see people post JD on here, my first thought is McDuffie. My wife & I used to own a store & Herb came & signed autographs. He was a great guy.

My sons are both VERY smart & actually both got scholarships to Harvard. They take after my wife. When my oldest was a freshman, his roommate was a (rich) Jewish kid from the Upper East Side of Manhattan. He would always ask my son weird questions like "Do you have parking lots where you live?" "What does BBQ tastes like?" We shipped our son some eastern NC BBQ, and his Jewish roommate who didn't eat pork ...... ate every bit of it!

One day he asked my son, "Do people actually watch NASCAR down there?" He laughed and told him about me & all the times I took him to NASCAR races, short tracks & dirt tracks. The kid couldn't believe it. I told him to bring the kid home with him sometime & I would get him "cultured".

My racing buddy has a daughter that goes to Duke. He almost died a few years ago from a ruptured gall bladder & lost about 60 lbs. He & his wife had just separated too. He was at a very low point, sick & lonely. I started taking him to dirt races as a way to heal. As he got better, he said he would like to work on a dirt car. I got him in touch with a guy that ran a late model. He became his crew chief. I think racing literally saved his life. This year they won the track championship.

So, if you go to a race & see a guy with a Duke hat & a Harvard hat....its just us. We're not stuck up. Just proud of our kids.

I was in my early 40’s when I moved to Cobb County just north of Atlanta, GA. I had never been to a car race of any kind. I heard a radio advertisement for Dixie Speedway for Saturday night. Since my wife had told me about going to races with her daddy, we decided to go. We lived there for 7 years and only missed a Dixie Speedway race if we traveled to another track. We were hooked. Became a fan of Bill Ingram and traveled to all the Hav-A-Tampa races. Now retired and have a motorhome and have been to over 125 tracks across the country.

Me 67 married 35 yrs, live in east Tennessee from Kenosha Wi, retired 49 yrs automotive, crewed in the late 60's early 70's at Wilmot for Bill Bohn, Stan Horton. Spent many Sunday nites at Sun Prairie watching the midgets RIP Stan Fox, got hooked up with my hero Joe Shear for 8 yrs. We relocated to the south, NASCAR sucked, so started to go dirt again. Been to tracks from California, to Alaska, Florida and in between! Went to Fayetteville, NC for Hav a Tampa race, watched the sheriff bring this driver to the track, didn't know that was my first time seeing the GOAT, and happy to call myself a Bloomquist fan! So Thanks dad for taking me to Wilmot at 7 yrs old!
