It is official. What a crock. They havent said anything on facebook as they probably dont want too many people to know. It shows it on a flyer I saw somewhere though.

If there is a problem, it's too many classes, not too much racing. The only one that has any control, is the Promoter. He can only juggle the front gate against the back gate. It's a money deal. As for me, they could run the Pine Wood Derby for the Cub Scouts during one of the intermissions. That really isn't a bad idea, to get the youngsters interested.

A friend saw it too. Says National 100 $10k at the top and Supers 50 laps at the bottom! And no "National 100" refunds for the "Groundhog 50" either!! Kinda bait and switch to me! Dang Thomas'!!

I think it said $10k on the DoD schedule at one tine but it has said $20k for quite a while and still does.

10 classes? If you think that’s acceptable, I mean, by all means. I absolutely think that turns more people away than it brings in. Never will I attend one of them back gate money grabs.Originally posted by Barbecueboy View PostYep, would be a shame to go to a race track and see too much racing.........
And I’m perfectly fine not being a die hard, that’s over the top. And they drastically cut the late model purse, the whole reason most people go in the first place.Up in the air who my next “favorite†driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normalâ€.

doing some quick math I just don't see the money grab part.....sure they pay entry fees for support classes but it's normally minimal and I just can't put together how the extra pit passes are going to make up for the extra payout, extra staff for the event and everything that goes with all that and still call it a money grab.
Something else I don't get is all these folks talking about bringing youngsters and newcomers to the sport and then complain when they show up to the track to race where their local racing hero's race...maybe eams can't do it real well for whatever reason , I just don't know.
Ever been to an nhra race?? A marathon NASCAR event or a big outdoor motocross event........with the NASCAR being the exception the other two are all day events with multiple classes .
I have no problem spending all day at the track once in a while considering I could be raking leaves instead.....everyone is different.Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

I don't think they were going to get the caliber of drivers they thought they could so close to Speedweeks. What does the weather look like also?

It’s a $6k show now, so they have issued refunds to anyone who has purchased it. National 100 or the $6k to win Back Gate 50.Originally posted by Barbecueboy View PostWhat happened to that? Ad at top of this page still advertises for it.Up in the air who my next “favorite†driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normalâ€.

Why are they even calling it a National 100 at this point? And they have Wesley Outland as PR guy on their facebook ranting about how people are always complaining. No kidding, you just dropped payout for every class and you didn't post new entry fees but instead told everyone they will figure that out when they show up and register. Seriously?
