My luck in the grocery store is that sometimes its welfare day ! Every line is 5 deep full with fat lazy dirty slobs wearing pajamas with carts so full that you cant get another item in it. They pay with that ACCESS card and then go off on the cashier because it doesn't pay for certain items. They are parked in all of the handicapped spots. Unbelievable that they can push 200 pounds of vittles uphill to the car but yet they are handicapped. Most light up a cigarette before they start loading up the car. One day a couple that had each gone through a separate cashiers line dropped a $5.00 package of sliced ham. The guy just looked at it and laughed. They kept going to a brand new looking Suburban that they loaded on up! Easy come, easy go I guess ?Originally posted by Hoosier_Dirt View PostWhen you go to the grocery or whatever and somebody in front of you pays with a cc or debit, do you get this worked up? Do you even go to the track. Always so negative on here.

That's my mindset as well. I always try to have a wad of cash at all times even though I do carry plastic. You never know when a deal of a lifetime comes around and that certain someone doesn't take a credit card.Originally posted by B_K View PostIf having $20-$40 bucks available to you is that big of an issue, you probably shouldn't be either.
Just curious?
How many out there have used a credit card to pay the gate at a dirt track? I have never seen anyone use one at the front gate. Not saying no track accepts them, just have not ever seen one used.
Nothing against plastic. I do use them for major purchases. Love that cash back incentive.
The ones that get me are the ones that use plastic at the drive thru Micky D's for a happy meal.8/13/16

I've never used a card at a track. I generally have $40-$50 on me along with a checkbook. I've never been a fan of carrying much cash. If I'm going somewhere I'll need it, I either grab extra from a stash at the house or hit up the ATM on the way.Originally posted by Highside Hustler25 View PostThat's my mindset as well. I see the argument kind of, but it's just thinking about the situation in terms of yourself. It may only take you an extra thirty seconds, but if everyone does it, it's going to take forever to get through the gate. If a place has two lines one for cash one for card that's fine too.Last edited by B_K; 03-21-2019, 08:00 AM.

Just as fast as paying with a 50 or 100 and the person having to count out your change back to you...Originally posted by B_K View PostI've never used a card at a track. Cash has much less of a chance of getting your stuff hacked later by a less than secure operator.....I use plastic at large retail establishments( never restaurants where tips are involved) but at the track it's always cash unless I order tickets online.
I'm old, cash is still king.Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

Seemed I was more prone to hacks and fraudulent charges when using a c.c. more often, especially at smaller retail establishments. A surprise when you see charges on your account from a couple of welding supply places in Oregon to the tune of $3k. Weld? I can barely solder.I hate time trials.

I dont use c.c. at the tracks, but have been to tracks that accept them. Never saw an issue with it.

Had no idea a credit card was that big of an issue. When I go to the track, I do take cash. But I could care less if someone has a credit card or cash, it all spends the same. It’s about the only time I carry a good amount of cash anymore.
I get points back towards a nice hotel chain when I use my card, so that is what I do. I get rewarded for using their card.
Do whatever you want, but don’t act like me not carrying cash is a big flipping deal, I’m not on assistance, so not your problem. And yes, I use it almost always, from $5 up to $3k or so. And my credit is very good, so there ya go.Up in the air who my next “favorite†driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normalâ€.
