Well, from what those of us who have seen Harrison race, the contract better have a stipulation for a wadded up car.Originally posted by NormP View PostI'm starting to think some of you don't understand how to make money.
And that you think this is some kind of community effort where you're somehow entitled to know how much money the Lamms get and how much background checking they do.
I could care less how they choose to make money, but if you had a bunch of choices, and you picked Harrison, then they weren’t very good choices in my opinion.
Personally, put Ross Bailes in it and let him call the shots. Or someone other than who has been.Up in the air who my next “favorite†driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normalâ€.

I mean Ross full time. Or as full as they want. I know he’s the one driver.Up in the air who my next “favorite†driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normalâ€.

I don't disagree with any of the above comments. But, the one thing I don't think you guys are taking into consideration.
1. There has to be a risk factor with the car owner. If there is not you will see every car owner/driver combo coming up with a rent a ride deal that makes the driver liable if he wads the car up.
2. None of us have a clue as to what people are signing to drive this ride ? As it stands, I don't believe the Lamm motorsports ride is even a top ten ride.
3. If it's all on the guy leasing the ride why would it not be cheaper to do like T-mac did ? He proved a tractor and a big fancy trailer didn't make the car go any faster on the track.

TMac had the big trailer, no one with class A’s to drive it. He hated using the dually and that trailer.Originally posted by dirtcrazy4u View PostI don't disagree with any of the above comments. But, the one thing I don't think you guys are taking into consideration.

Though I agree, if you are not going to travel a lot, a nice dually or 3/4-1 ton SA with a nice gooseneck or large bumper trailer ain’t a bad idea.Up in the air who my next “favorite†driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normalâ€.

1) You are going to start seeing more rent a rides. You don't take a real risk in this type of arrangement.Originally posted by dirtcrazy4u View PostI don't disagree with any of the above comments. But, the one thing I don't think you guys are taking into consideration.

2) The ride wasn't a top 10 car with two of the nations best young wheelmen in it.
3). One time rent payments are always cheaper than buying depreciating assets. I'm sure this deal is also being sold as leasing a support staff with knowledge that the customer doesn't have.Modern Day Spec Wedge Racing

There are a bunch of us that want to see Harrison Hall race. Please post when he runs his first race for Lamm. Could be a record turn out of fans to see how well the kid races.

In other news, I wish was my daddy was rich too!Originally posted by Clump O Clay View PostThere should be clarification around the vetting process - it isn't how big the check was but that it cleared the bank for deposit.Whatever spin they try to put on this deal, whether development or rent-a-ride, it comes down to putting money in the pocket. Really appreciate the use of the big words like tuteledge and distinction in this thread. LOL

wonder if the deal with ross is for just the select events this year or they planning something bigger next year?-Adam Conners

LOL! Wonder if it's in the contract that the Dunn-Benson wrecker or rollback will be at those I-95 races? Like you and another suggested, if he likes to run into people, he'll soon be schooled in driver etiquette by a hard-nosed group and might have to retreat to Ohio with his tail between his legs!Originally posted by Barbecueboy View PostThanks MB.....I know this for certain, if he acts all stupid and immature as described so far with those guys on the i95 challenge......they will bring the car home in a box almost every night.

I understand he's running the SLM events but didn't know if they had plans on trying to run a national tour together next year. Didn't know if they would use these select events to learn each other and go full-time next year. Or is this just and "one and done" deal where they will just run these races and move on next year-Adam Conners
