It's Saturday nite w/o racing, Can we talk about moving FL dates again?

Not too sure about the Putnam Cty remarks. I go by there every couple of months.....they are keeping the place well maintained. Im not sure about all the mechanicals but that was a facility that was ahead of its time when Mr. Potter re-built it! I spent every Saturday nite there for a long time......very nice track and facility!The corners were fairly tight and probly needed to be widened but it was a very racy joint!It has about 38 acres and is listed for sale at $799k......once was $1.5mil!

When some folks attempted to re-open there 5 or 6 years ago or so the surface was just shot and was so incredibly sandy that I felt like I was actually racing on the beach. And all of our dirt tracks down here have some sand, but that was crazy. I should have said the track itself would need to be totally re-done, the faciltiy isn't the worst thing ever.

Yeah, that "promoter" didn't know how to properly water the track and the bottom always got too rough from too much water. He supposedly scraped off the top layer of clay and added some sand to the surface, obviously he added wayyyy too much!

Supposedly, the top layer of clay is still on the property off the backstretsh somewhere!

Oh, and I'm a fan of Screven btw......ill sit a little longer to watch a better show, and the racing there rarely disappoints.
