How many track owners are gonna have to close their doors? How many racers are gonna have to close it up? If you own a track or own a racecar, odds are you own a business to be able to fund racing. The number of promoters and car owners will go down from this, I just hope racing as we know it is salvageable

All the more reason to get back to normal ASAP.

I would think that promoters that have leased fairground race tracks would have to be really nervous right now as they stand to really lose money, unless the fairboards give them a break for all the shutdown time. Add frequent rain outs and especially the big Lucas and high dollar events and some promoters will be in the poor house.

B-town used to lease the track out for about $62,000 a season and that was over ten years ago. Since then though a fair board member seems to always get the track leases.

Y'all realize we haven't hit 1st of April yet. Most tracks don't really get running full bore till after April with rain outs etc.

The bigger concern for me is how many people seem happy that people are losing their jobs.. happy that people are dying.. happy the economy is suffering because of the virus. I was never a fan of Obozo but I would never wish for people to suffer for political reasons. Unfortunately that is exactly what we are seeing now. Not sure if it is a lack of compassion or lack of common sense.
