It use to be like Eldora use to be - if you had the courage to ride the high side guard rail. After several adding new dirt the banking had changed & more drivers run the middle or ark the turns. Bobby Pierce would have excelled in the earlier days of the Gap.

It's an interesting track for sure. Only been there once and watched from the infield. I was in awe of the banking! In fact it was a "holy sh!t moment"!!

Watching from the infield is like standing in an oblong cereal bowl......it's pretty cool to see from that aspect , and I do like the place as a whole but the races I've seen there are more about the speed and attrition and not so much side by side passing and racing.

Tier parking is the way to go if you can still get it, IMO.

I haven't been there since the new owner took over but back in the day when Ed turner ran the place it was great he would turn the track under at least once a week sometimes twice if he didn't like how it looked.

Been running the track in trying to get it ready. Good thing is rain is out of the area now. Had water seeping onto the track from underneath the front straightaway wall, so they’ve tried to plug that with mud...we’ll see. Got a skid steer struggling for traction. If they get it going, good possibility the track record falls.
