Would be a great opportunity for Putnam County to grab a race since they are reopening. Or maybe Screven, Waycross, or even North Florida? I know it is unlikely but would he nice for all the guys that are already at Volusia the weekend before.

xfactor, is Putnam County in the same configuration as it was back when Volusia was asphalt? We went up there from Daytona several times back then and we were not all that enthralled with the looooong straights and hairpin tight turns.

There are port lots on the same property as the track however there were no cars there when I was last there and I had heard that they had lost the contract for it.

Not sure exactly..it was closed last year and a new roofing contractor bought it. Making a lot of changes and putting a little money into it. Holding their first practice night soon.

            They had it today!

They brought in new clay and widened the turns some!

One of my favorite tracks when Bob Potter bought it and completely redone the whole facility. It was first class then and had some awesome weekly racing!

Still not 100% sold on Bubba keeping his dates!

He has only had 1 race this year!

Track has long straights and low banked corners. Could be a snoozer again for open motor cars but the powell memorial crate race last months was pretty good. Be interesting to see. Seems like a configuration you see the big block mods run alot.

It is convenient though that it's pretty close to the highway. There's a few motels there. They might go fast with the rescheduling though.

Plenty of motels between Lake City and Gainesville......even Ocala if ya dont mind driving a little!

Concessions is pretty decent.....they do have a local bbq food truck that has pretty good bbq!

If you stay in Lake City, try Ken's for good local bbq or Texas Roadhouse for steak!

How hard is that camping set up on the back stretch to get into? Does it fill up quick? Looked cool on the Powell memorial stream......guessing no hookups?
Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

BRP hosted 2 USAC National Midget shows and 2 USAC National Sprint Car shows back in February.

Both the USAC Midgets and 410 Sprint Cars are scheduled to be at BRP in Feb. 2021.

ZERO, what are you hearing down that way in regards to Bubba's financial trepidations? Just curious as to you're skepticism of Bubba keeping his dates.
