    I'm assuming Crate?

        "They’re apparently gonna be making 10s too. "

        If they are only doing 4 compounds, I would think the wise choice is a 70 for the 4th compound not a 10.

        If your correct what about the RR on rubbered tracks?

              one article says planning a similar program for crates?

              why do they need a separate marked tire (assume that's what they gonna do)? So open cars can't sell their one race tires to the crate guys and Hoosier loses out on sales for crate cars?

                Fastrak, CRATE USA, RUSH and UMP all have different tires with different stamps on the sidewalls.

                  Anyone still run cheap (5.7 rod) 406 ? Is the block a "stock" GM? Not trying to steal ideas. I'm living on little over grand a month. Sure can't afford any go-fast stuff.

                    @bbc

                    The release says the compounds are going to be 1,2,3,4 and that they’re going to be based but not exactly like the current 10,20,30,40. It appears the 70 is going away completely. I guess if it’s rubbered up most dudes will be on the 3 or 4.

                            No aero? I haven't seen them take much issues with that yet. Lol

                              They aren’t going to do anything other than this new tire rule. It’s been the same scheme for the last 20 years. Change the tire rule tell the racers how this new rule lower your tire bill and save DLM racing.

                              Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results… insanity

                              Completely ignoring the real problem that has brought us the modern day wedge.
