My thoughts exactly. He just clinched the HTF series and was complementing Bobby Kay on the New "Old School" spindles he built for him ahead of last race making a big difference. Said car felt better than it had in a while. I'm assuming he means Bobby Kay of Tri-County Buggy Fame in SC. I'm surprised, surprised he left and surprised he wants to run a national tour again, I thought he wanted to run an outlaw type schedule. Never know what went on behind scenes.Originally posted by t4g2 View PostWhy would Overton move rides when he's the mastermind on infinite chassis? ...Last edited by Henry Every; 11-06-2024, 12:53 PM."In the Republic of Mediocrity, Genius is Dangerous." - Robert Green Ingersoll

Plans to run Lucas or woo like I mentioned on page 1. A house car team of that magnitude isn’t going to run regionally.

This is no different than any other top driver out there... they all have crew chiefs and work as a team, pretty sure he had a crew chief at Wells too didn't he?Originally posted by Dlmfan123 View PostGuessing Brandon won’t be calling the shots on set ups now. Probably more of a show up and drive

Wondering how Huddy shakes out after these changes. Haven't heard much about his situation lately.

If I remember right Brandon said when he took the Wells ride that he only did it because they let him pick everything, "HE" wanted, he chose the engine builder, the shocks, the crew, etc. Sometimes having a "crew chief" can hurt performance, ie CBR struggled because they had people in those roles and higher making less than perfect calls all the time. Since I can't know went on behind scenes I can't know why he's leaving but to me it seems like a mistake, but maybe the autonomy he had at first with Wells has changed since the Infiniti deal kicked off."In the Republic of Mediocrity, Genius is Dangerous." - Robert Green Ingersoll
