This discussion branched off a comment about setup decision/calls. I see less drivers working on sheet metal than I used to. That's mostly a flunky job.

Plenty of guys on a national level have to/want to make their own setup calls. Madden, Overton, Shirley, Sheppard, Terbo to name a few. There are far more drivers in charge of setup and tire calls than there are drivers who just show up and race and put tear offs on
