Greed took over with Bobby Pierce. He was getting A LOT of sponsorship from Hoker Trucking, and he wanted more. Then his mom hit Hoker up at the Dome and Hoker told the heck (clean version of his words) with it just to take his name off their car. Can't blame him honestly for what he was already paying.
Good for Gustin though! I'm happy that dirt late model racing didn't lose another sponsor, just hope that Gustin is more appreciative.

Seems like Angie is the common denominator in a lot of Bobby’s negative issues. I am not a Pierce fan but he is very well spoken and one heck of a wheelman. Makes any race he’s in interesting-1 eye is usually on him. Reminds me of someone else we all payed attention to.

Does anyone on the National scene other than the blue #1 sport as many major sponsors as Pierce?8/13/16

I don't know what makes a major sponsor or how much that costs. He wins a lot, so a lot of people want their business on the car. Folks advertising in this deal aren't really making good ROI. It's a vanity project.Originally posted by Highside Hustler25 View PostDoes anyone on the National scene other than the blue #1 sport as many major sponsors as Pierce?Modern Day Spec Wedge Racing

^^ and tax right off -( advertising)
when Bob Miller sold his coal mining businesses- he phased out of sponsorship of race teams. It was then coming out of his pocket instead of writing it off as a business exspense.
Hopefully the IRS doesn’t figure this out because the racing industry needs these sponsors.
reminds me of everyone commenting on how exspensive the Super Bowl commercials are: consumers burden the cost after final IRS revenues are completed.

most of the major sponsorship in dirt racing- comes from business owners who love the sport. ( sometimes a family member as well)

You can write it off, but you were still better off not spending the money. Tax rates aren't 100%.Modern Day Spec Wedge Racing
