Kyle Larson and Brad Sweet and the owner of FLO have said they are looking to by Woo and Dirtvision. They want to shut Dirtvision down and intergrade Woo into the High Limit Series. Also they said they are willing to pay $14 Million for it. If this happens FLO will televise all Summer Nationals races as well as all Woo events. What are your thoughts on this? Dirtvision in my opinion does not really promote like Flo and they do not have the marque races other than the Knoxville Nationals.
FLO Looking to BUY WOO and Dirtvision.

Also was told that Flo wants to take the Lucas Oil Series even further by making the races pay more and the championship point standings pay more. From what was told Woo is having a lack of money invested in them as far as Subscribers. Dirtvision is talking about going to $400 a year to watch everything from the Knoxville Nationals on. Where as Flo has for $170 after tax all these sports and racing from 2 times more tracks.

They’d still have to remember the fans have the option of saying no. IMO $400 for an annual subscription is insane. Hopefully if it came to that they’d offer affordable alternatives (monthly subscriptions or maybe a package that excludes the Crown Jewels). If the streaming gets too expensive it might get fans back to the track for the weekly and regional races.Originally posted by t4g2 View PostIn business that's called a monolopy. Latemodelman,
Where are you getting this info from? I've been following this news since it started and I've seen nothing about FLO looking to buy WoO and Dirtvision. There are articles printed about a merger. Where is your source? You're always hearing this, or I'm told. Give us some concrete acquisition information. Where does the World Racing Group come into play with this? You forget they own the WoO?
Here's Larson's comment:
Sports Business Journal reported that the driver is open to merging High Limit with the World of Outlaws in the future, should the situation present itself. He said, “It’s at least a topic that we’ve talked about as something that could potentially happen down the road, and I’m sure even World Racing Group has probably had that run through their minds as well.”

Agree 100%. If anything, it sounded like High Limit would be taken over by The World Racing Group. Maybe some wishful thinking on "latemodelman's" part.......Originally posted by Dirt Clod View PostLatemodelman,

Consolidation or Centralization is NEVER a good thing for the consumer and/or competitor. Too much power in too few hands and fewer options for fans and racers. The ignorant will clamor for it, like voting for free "anything" and then later realizing the old saying is true, "There is NO free lunch." All this ever increasing only further prices Joe Blow out of the running, all in pursuit of the glorious, "Next Level". Alas poor DLM I knew him well..."In the Republic of Mediocrity, Genius is Dangerous." - Robert Green Ingersoll

Car count man doesn’t have any concrete news. He always hears this or that. 95% of his predictions are wrong.
