Flo went on the fritz for about 20 minutes during the b mains. I wasn't happy but thought 20 years ago I'd have no updates other than the 4m gossip page. Be grateful for what you got.

I agree. You get a lot for $150/yr. Some of the other services offer a couple races a month for $30-40.

Exactly. When I first subscribed to Flo several years ago, you could tune in on a Wednesday and see races from obscure tracks we only read about, and see an IMCA Modified or a DLM race with the likes of a Chet Chrstner announcing. Now either because of production costs, or lack of interest Flo has shed a lot of those races. They are concentrating on a handful of series or marquee races. As a fan, we were spoiled. We demand a lot for our $160 a year. I could be wrong, but I would guess the average dirt track fan can not afford all these streaming services. Most have Flo and Dirtvision with maybe a third one depending on your interests. Plus there is the time commitment. I have a very understanding wife. If it was up to me, I could watch racing 7 days a week, but that is not possible if I want to stay married. I would love to watch other races that are streamed on the smaller platforms, but I do not have the time or $$$.I am assuming most fans are in my position.

My understanding is they(flo) are paying pennies compared to the other services. Our local micro track is a hot bed and was on flo for a couple years when the contract was up the track owner decided to go with a different service citing the exact reason i just gave. We bought into that service and it was less than stellar. Has gotten better but still need a roku to stream it and use your phone.

i think just the opposite, keep DJ, let ben move on to other endeavors. DJ & chet would be great imo.

Since the TV shows started back up I'm guessing Ben is going to be busy with N.C.I.S. Sydney season 2. I for one wish him luck in season two playing JD Dempsey.

D Suave got married sometime in the last couple years and has a new baby. Probably wanted to get off the road & be at home. Good for him.

It sounds like he has been gone from DoD for some time, I guess around the time he stopped doing the Dirt Reporters podcasts. I am surprised there was no formal announcement, unless I missed it, as he was with Rigsby for over ten years. I know he took a lot of flack from this board, but no one would could ever question his passion for the sport. I wish him well in his new career.

i miss d suave, wish he was still on. but on a + note look slike DJ is in the booth full time with james. at least that way i can mute the macho munchkin when he interviews folks.

I dont think they need to mix it up….I think there just needs to be a break. There is just too much racing going on without an off season. There was a thread on twitter a few weeks back. Bobby had some great suggestions. The WWS needs to be moved all together and Florida Speedweeks needs a major overhaul. Skip some of the early races in the Midwest that usually never happen anyways due to weather.
Back to the original point….I think if there was an off season everyone wouldn’t be so burnt out.

Got to agree on the Florida speedweeks overhaul. Crowds were pathetic except for the weekends.
And yes, if they want to get folks to travel West for the WWS, they need to fix that date. The NM dessert isn't that appealing in January.
