    4M - Lack of Comments

Has the lack of late model action or excitement led to the demise of comments on 4M? This year's Speedweek's offered the fewest comments ever seen on 4M. Some days there were none, others maybe one to three comments. Yesterday, only three comments on 4M. Have late model fans just given up or moved on from commenting on 4M? Have fans just moved on to other social media platforms? They get run off by all the negative or immature posts? Thankfully, HDF has posted all the schedules, and it gives us something to look at and discuss.

Never thought I'd say this, but Facebook offers more comments and updates now than 4M. EXAMPLE: When's the last time you saw a Northern All Stars promotion on 4M? Same with LaSalle Speedway and Fairbury. There's always updates on FB. Guess it's changing times on 4M. Hopefully more to discuss this spring on 4M.

Forums are going the way of the dodo and have been for almost 20 years. I'd wager you could count on one hand how many people in their 20s have made an account here in the last year, if any.

i kind of enjoy fewer comments with more substance than what we were used to.

the lack of discussion when Davenport/Pierce had their slider disagreement was a huge indicator for me.

i don't know about forums going away. hope not. not a big fan of how news and debate is conducted on social media.

        .
Probably because everyone here has been paying attention long enough to know when the pot is calling the kettle black.

Personally, in the past I checked 4m every day. However, I rarely check it anymore due to the fact the majority of the posts are juvenile and/or have nothing to do with racing. No sign of moderators to clean it up ruined it for me personally.

It’s a reflection on the state of LM racing……boring, predictable, and only 1 chassis winning. It svcks.

Not only did I not comment much during Speedweeks. I didn't even watch one race from Speedweeks. I guess I am losing interest in the sport. I do check in everyday to see what's being discussed.

For me, it's the constant negativity & lack of sense-of-humor. There is a clique here and I sure ain't in it. Lots of discussion about how bad the racing is then if a team doesn't use one of the top two chassis, they soooo stupid!

I much prefer technical discussion and couldn't care less about drama over sliders. Guess this is wrong place for that. This IS The Kardashian section.

                    I beg to differ. 🤔

I was referring to the past. With that being said, I am glad to see that there is at least one moderator here.

I think tireguy nailed it. This is the most bored I’ve ever been with DLM racing.

I think part of it is when the board was down for a while, people stopped coming here. Another part is a bit of burn out by a good number of fans.
