True, very true. I'd guess you'd call them "Public Relations" men.

On a side note, not the most professional look for Ben & Dustin to be commenting on the socials about it. Wouldn't be surprised if Flo corporate pays them a call to pipe down.
I would agree. When your representing what is considered a competing entity to XR I'd avoid it instead of piling on. It ultimately wont have any impact on whatever is happening with his court stuff so Id just keep Flo's name out of it. You really gain nothing by piling on.

That was my thought. Why wade in the mud that someone else created.

They want their loan money back. Funny how the only time anyone gets busted for being a general POS is when they do it to rich people

Correct. Rip off people that have significantly less than you and you use lawyers and other resources to protect yourself. Rip off people that have more than you and you’re done for. They have resources and personal relationships with law enforcement entities through charitable endeavors and such to come after and destroy you..

Well, looks like Barry Braun has officially made it to the news The West Virginia State Police have released an official statement confirming that Braun, the CEO of XR Events, was arrested in Lake County, Minnesota, after an investigation revealed a pattern of fraudulent activity and deception surrounding his dealings with racing venues.

According to the release from the Harrisville Detachment of the WV State Police, Troopers obtained warrants in Ritchie County, WV, for fraudulent schemes and obtaining money under false pretenses. He’s currently awaiting extradition back to West Virginia to face those charges.

Troopers also noted that if anyone believes they’ve been a victim of a crime perpetrated by Braun, they should contact local law enforcement in the jurisdiction where the alleged crime occurred, and that agency will then reach out to the WVSP Harrisville Detachment.

Now the big question everyone’s asking, could we see this turn into a RICO case?

Given the multi-state nature of the allegations, the number of victims across different jurisdictions, and the pattern of deceit and financial misconduct being uncovered, it’s not out of the realm of possibility. RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) laws are designed for cases where individuals or organizations engage in ongoing, coordinated criminal activity, and if investigators find consistent, organized fraud across state lines, this could absolutely escalate into something much bigger.

Who else didn't get paid? There were a lot of racing classes at one point.

It sure would be interesting to know if some of the other Northern Minnesota boys who have done some promoting and for XR, who were right tight with Barry Braun involved in any of this.

A friend of mine sold him a piece of equipment that he was supposedly using at Pennsboro (was delivered there). Never got paid; he called the Minnesota law and they told him to call West Virginia (and it appears that he will be heading back to good old 'by god West Virginia'.....

Dirt racing sure has seemed to attract a lot of these fly by nighters over the years. Lots of stories in the past of purses not being paid. Nature of the beast I guess.

Racing has always been full of shady character. I had a former crew chief tell me that over half of the money in dirt late model racing in the 80's was dirty money.
