I’d add Justin Grant to that list!
Nice find and share with the Larson video. If you didn't know, you'd think that was Kyle. Clinton Boyles has really help progress Owens driving. That's not the Owen from a year ago.8/13/16

Sprints and midgets are sliders galore but those cars are considerably smaller & more manueverable. The slidee has a little more room to be able to avoid the contact cause he is driving a smaller vehicle. When Bobby pulls one of his kamikaze moves it's much harder to manuever a full bodied car to avoid the contact. So the tight sliders in a late model are gonna end up in the wall more often than the smaller cars. And it happens a plenty on the open wheel side.
Some of those guys are way over the top in their driving style tho. It is a product of the cars being much much safer than even 10 or certainly 20 years ago. Still dangerous but they can take some hellacious rides & the driver emerges unhurt or just minimally injured compared to years past.

It is very refreshing to know some on here that comment, watch more than just Dirt Late Models.
Another class to keep an eye on if you’re interested in asphalt road racing is the RUSH series.

You're all talking about sliders, and how sprints do it all the time... Thing is, what Bobby is doing all the time is not a slider. It's a f*** you I'm coming over and taking your as s out, cuz I'm Bobby f'n Pierce and I don't give a dam. No respect for others no class just dirty little bobby...I'm a copycat wetter... 😎

Not being a Pierce apologist with these comments, it’s just the way I see it. And not meaning to ruffle feathers either.
Personally, I don't think Pierce's slider moves are as bad as some here think they are. Living in the hotbed of sprints and midgets, I’ve been used to sliders in general, dirty or non-dirty sliders for years going to Gas City (now defunct), Kokomo, and Circle City in Indy, Waynesfield and Lima Land in Ohio, just to name a few. The 2024 Kokomo XR Super Series it was Sliders Fest all of the time for most. That is if you wanted to survive, stay up front, and possibly win. To say it’s JUST Bobby isn't a fair assessment or statement in my opinion. Bobby is in the game to WIN. And yes, chathamracefan, the size of a DLM “full bodied car” compared to other cars is a very reasonable assessment, but what we are talking about are Professional DLM racers, and they (all of them at that level) all know the risks and liabilities when they strap in. Like the late great Scott Bloomquist, Bobby is there for one reason, to WIN. Whether we like it or not. I wish some of you could have seen Missouri's LM great Ken Essary in the 80’s “flick” the rear of the car going in to hit the cushion —----- you would have absolutely lost your mind. It’s all about perspective I think.

Riddle me this.
If you are a big-time National touring team owner spending a million a year to do what you live and love, if you had to pick one driver out of these two, a guy like Greg Satterlee or a guy like Bobby Pierce, to drive your DLM —-- who are you picking?

Some are very forgetful. It was NO different than the 1997 Frye/Bloomquist Dream altercation eruption. I was there. Everyone booooed Scott in 1997, and everyone cheered Bobby’s engine failure in 2026. Funny thing is, the interweb social media was a buzz after Saturday night thinking Vic Hill forgot how to build engines. Silly !!!!

Talk about dirty on Scott’s behalf, worse than a dirty slider!!!!

Lurker, I agree they want to act like he goes out there and destroy cars and he doesn't. Their hatred for him has clouded their vision. Has he made some questionable sliders yes he has but, he's not there just tearing up cars right and left. Like I said if someone did it back to him I would say well he deserved it.
